You know how that usually turns out.

The Dodgers were actually going to be a 3* or a 4* play tonight. I picked them when I got back from the bar last night. Still don't know what I'm doing yet though.

Santana is due for a real good game with low run output and the Mets are due to get some runs so the RL and Mets for me.

    5-1

I really like this over actually... Dodgers can hit Lefty's pretty hard if they get stroking and would like to have a nice flight home after a big win.

richie, i have been posting since posting was invented back in the 90's, and i swear, i have NEVER played a posters picks in my life. i never believed in it. but to show faith in you, i am going to play your pick tonight, so i am looking forward to that video. even if you lose, it's ok.. i wont go crazy of course, but i will put some action on it.. i just hope you will be on the same side as Mike Corbin so we can all be together on it. but no disrespect to my buddy Mike Corbin, but i do have to go with the hot hand and i know you have been on fire as of late and i do believe in streaks. go get em richie.

Your pal, Nicky.. I believe in my buddy richie..

Boys, if you take a close look at this pic, i can swear you see richie.. cause richie is ON FIRE..

Nicky....stay with the under only. Mets are above 170 now. LA just wants to get home on a Sunday night, but way too expensive. GL

Wow, some really compelling arguments in here. Good read, I'm sold.

Kuroda has done a good job of keeping bother righties and lefties in the yard so far in 08. Kuroda has seen the Mets and he was killed by them over the 18 plate appearances the Mets had against him.

The BA in NY is only .243 for the year and the park OPS is 21rst in baseball.

Both teams have a good BP.

Chuck Meriwether is 8-4 in favor of the under this season.

I expect a low scoring game and it seems like the dog has some good value near +170.

Cool, good stuff, you should have included that in the 1st post, maybe everyone else would have followed suit.

hopefully not, i made another post with some info on the game, this was just a pick thread. these picks will lose, but i just wanted to get some actual handicapping discussion going. Hopefully you approve.

That's what I'm saying, if you wanted discussion going, should have included your thoughtful analysis in the first post. Instead the thread was just 'dodgers' 'mets' 'mets' 'dodgers etc
    etc

get that discussion going big fella

I will note this advice for future reference. I'm just a heterosexual guy that likes sports and handicapping, i will perfect my post skills with time.

I misread the first post...thought you were just seeing what everyone was on for the late game.

The one previous to your '?' i assume?

    1) Ive touted you as one of the best posters on all the forums, I could not be offended by someone ive respected/interacted with for 2+ years. I respect your ability and what bring to the forums.

    2) My reply was a bit sarcastic, but also noted your suggestions. Sarcasm is not always an insult, but rather the consequence of boredom this evening.

    3) I would have made the other thread (mets/lad) first, but I wasn't sure if i was going to be online for long and i wanted to get a little game thread going. I then decided that i should add a little more content and made a new thread.

    I see

I just thought your first post in the thread to be more of a discussion rather than wanting a running list of who was on what side. Much more value discussing the game and thoughts about it which is what I thought you were looking for - but what was posted by everyone was just 'lad' 'nym' etc.

I tend to dislike that. I liked your post with the thoughts and commentary about the matchup. Would hope for more of that from all of us to make this a good read for all and valuable.

That is always the goal, but late on a sunday its harder to get the more valuable content. I love talking about the individual games, what the pitchers throw, how SPs have favored vs batters over their careers and so on. The more the better...i wish that those kinds of things occupied 90% of the content here.
