    Remember the Cards surprised everyone two seasons ago by finishing just above .500 and winning it all.

    I don't see them winning simply because everything needs to continue to stay right for them. Just for example:

    - Contreras and Vazquez need to hold up like this the rest of the season. Huge IF here it's laughable. One or the other is bound to get lazy, injured, or simply return to normal. The reason the Sox have started hot is their pitching. Doubt it maintains.

    - Quentin needs to maintain his RBI rampage. Sox as a team are way below the entire MLB average in OBP, I mean they're under the Rockies for ****s sake . He's carried them for stretches. Even in the rare circumstance he hasn't had a strong game, just his presence this early has spawned more offense. Won't continue.

    These in addition to the fact they don't have anything resembling an ace quite yet to shut down for the playoffs. They may in a couple months if Danks can keep pumping out these starts, but not yet.

    Anything is possible but this team is a big "IF".
