    jj, i hate hockey. i have never seen 1 game, it's boring.. here in the states, especially where i am from East LA, no one cares about this sport. it is boring.. hockey is dead in LA.. hockey is dead in america. there isn't one guy here in East LA that can name you one player,

    the only americans that care about hockey are living in DETROIT and PITTSBURGH, and even they dont care.. they only care because they are winning.

    Detroit wins the cup. Not sure how many games it will take but the outcome in the end is never in doubt.

    deucey, you of all people should not talk.. detroit is no longer hockeytown. it's a fraud.. they have been playing to a half empty Joe Louis Arena now throughout the playoffs.

    fans dont care anymore like they used to be. they were 16th in the NHL in attendance.. the fans don't seem to care, they look bored.. and dont say i have anything against detroit because those are the words of Don Cherry 2 weeks ago.

    detroit = hockeytown??

    I dont think so.. it used to be 5 yrs ago when the likes of Yzerman, shanahan, probert, kocur and company.. not anymore..

    The only reason being seats are steep and Detroit is buried. If tickets were priced like Pistons and Tigers they would sell out easily. Tickets are at the very least 40 dollars for nose bleed. A decent seat runs 70+. We're Hockey town. Find me another team that has made the playoffs 17 straight years.

    17 staight is not that impressive. up until recently, BOS made it 29 straight seasons and chicago 28 straight in making the playoffs.

    it's just that detroit fans have seem to have lost interest in their wings. they don't seem to care anymore and are not as enthusiastic as the early 90's.. this is what i see and this is what don cherry said.

    deucey, do you agree with me, or do you think hockey is as strong in interest as it ever was.. i've always liked Detroit, but am i right? i would love to hear you say that detroit is still strong for hockey, but it's not, right.
