    Default Paypal Account---Frozen

I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced having their paypal account frozen. Today it happened to me and I have over $800 in there. They threatened to keep it frozen for 6 months if I do not do what is asked of them.

First they wanted copies of my bank statement, id, proof of residency (phone bill, etc). Ok, well I spent an hour tonight and faxed them this. It turns out that this isn't enough.

I got in this situation because I had two season tickets to the Chargers I wanted to sell on ebay. My feedback on ebay is roughly 4000, and I have been on ebay since 1998 and dealt with paypal about the same. ANyways I got the payment via paypal and now they want to freeze my account. I have done everything they asked and now they want proof of delivery of the product. Okay, now their is a problem because I will not recieve the Chargers tickets until August and my buyer know this.

Does anyone know anyone can help or what should I do? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Laurie

Has the buyer made a complaint concerning this purchase?

Incidentally, I thought it was against Paypal rules to take payment for goods which would not be available for delivery within 30 days. It used to be the case, I don't know if it still is.

No....The tickets are not available until August (Chargers 2006 season tix). Paypal said they do random checks and that we got chosen. What a bunch of BS.

I don't know if thats the case about 30 days but all I do know is this is very stressing and I have no clue how to retrieve my $800. I kind of need that money to pay the Chargers tickets.

I don't have a lot of experience with PayPal or EBay, but it seems that using the money that the buyer gave you for the product to buy the product yourself is something that would be frowned upon.

Essentially, you're selling something you don't have.

thats happend to a good friend of mine years ago.

he bought his brothers old computer, and they froze both of there accounts. paypal claimed they were doing some sort of cash advance type thing which actually wasn't true. well, after about 40 phone calls and faxing pictures of the computer they finaly released the funds.

You simply need to show them proof of your season ticket holder status.
