Default OT: Anybody making money on stocks?

Most of us are risktakers, by virtue of the gambling game. Anybody want divulge what stocks they have/plan to invest? I bought stock in Walgreen and Target withing the last year, and the market shook downward. Anybody else doing the stock thing. Either way, we are gambling, either on games or on stocks.

I am up 50% this year through Research in Motion (Blackberry) and Apple. I just watch what the people are using at the malls, airports, gyms, schools, businesses. 75% of americans own a Blackberry, Iphone, Ipod or Mac computer.

I noticed that 5 years ago when these two stocks were trading very lowely.

GS (Goldman Sachs) traded at 176 today. They continue to beat the numbers quarter after quarter even though the financial sector continues to struggle. This is the king of the sector - $300 dollars in a couple of years, great buy at this price.

CAT (Caterpillar) trades around 80. The world is expanding (BRIC), Brazil - Russia - India - China are continuing to develop. CAT will be along for the ride. 80 to 120 should happen in a year or two, they had great last quarter numbers.

AUY (Yamana Gold) One of the best gold stocks. Trades under 15, projections for good earning in the next couple of years. 19-20 projection.

LTM (Lifetime fitness) Beat the numbers every quarter. Went from 60 to 30ish a few months back when everything went south. Analyst just put a new 70 price target on it - they continue to expand nationally and same store sales are steady. Currently trades under 40.

Hang a few dollars on these for the next few years and you'll be in good shape.

(Gotta work the stock market - can't gamble on sports day and night...)

It seems like common sense to win in market but lots of traders don't use it.
