Default If you trained for 1 year straight, do you think you could play Arena Football?

If you did nothing but train non-stop for a full year to be a professional football player....do you think you could make it on an arena football team roster?

I'd say for me, about 50/50. I am pretty undersized for football, and slow, and out of shape and have trouble concentrating most days but if I trained I could probably be a pretty decent wide receiver or seconday player.

You and anyone else who thinks they can are totally full of sh*t... I would even say that if you did nothing but kick (which is not the hardest position in football) for a year you wouldn't be much better then when you started...

To train to do a skill when you don't know how is like running in place... Even if you had the coaching I think 5 years is the min. time needed to gain the muscle strength and endurance along with the knowledge of the technique for your individual position....

A friend bet me that if he kicked 100 balls he'll eventually make one from 50... I laughed at that stupid comment... He tried it and after 30 balls his leg got tired and he went from missing 30 yarders to missing 20 yarders... I told him... "hey dipsh*t why not just ask your catty for another leg (a driver maybe) and screw it on..." He could have practiced for 5 years and still would not have made ONE from anywhere near 50...

I think I could as a kicker but not after one year... It would likely take about three...

Out of High School I could have done it, right now I would need a year or 2 to get into fball shape. I agree with most of what you said.

having played in HS, I would say no way jose.

Its not just about being fit its about being skilled. There are thousands of fit players that are out of a job right now.
