Default Detroits Pistons Hidden Triple Double Superstar that nobody knows about!!!

I am surprise the tv announcer give so much credit to Tayshaun Prince, Maxiell, and Stuckey which THEY all deserve the credit since they are playing a lot of minutes. However Detroit has the most sought potiential Superstar the last couple tears on the bench awaiting. Joe Dumars gets several calls a weeks from other GM's about this player!!! Do you know who he is???

    THE ANSWER IS:

    Amir Johnson

For people who do not know who Amir Johnson is, they will soon especially when the season starts again.

    Amir Johnson is only 21.

Amir Johnson led the NBA-D In Scoring I believe the last couple years before this season,

Amir Jonson has a bigger Wingspan than Tayshaun Prince

In limited games and playing time, Amir Johnson put up Amazing numbers.

He had several games in the season where he had 4 or blocks in a game in limited minutes

WATCH OUT NBA AND OTHER EASTERN CONFERENCE TEAMS, DETROIT IS GOING TO BE THERE FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS. With that type of talent on the bench and unknown talent about to explode.

Joe Dumars hit another goldmine for the future. Amir Johnson write it down.

I STILL BELIEVE BOSTON CELTICS WILL WIN IN 7 GAMES.

He is Josh Smith without the super human athleticism. Nothing special that I've seen from him. NBA D league is equal to about Division 1-AA.

I love Amir and have high hopes for him (especially when teamed with Stuckers) -- but I'm not QUITE sold on him just yet. Remember, he was taken late in the second round. While it's a very nice thought, second round players hardly ever pan-out (with the exception of Michael Redds and Gilbert Arenases).

It is really sweet, however, that AMIR is the last player EVER taken straight from high school. It's a pretty awesome legacy to hold if he does become a star.

As for his abilities, he's still rounding into form, though I've always hoped he could be a Garnett type of player because he has a nearly identical body-type (obviously less strong and talented at the moment). I've never thought about the Josh Smith comparison since Josh Smith is, afterall, supposed to be a Shooting Guard or a Small Forward (and not a Power Forward as Atlanta plays him as). That -might- be a better comparison for Amir because he was thought to be a SF when he entered the league. Now he's grown at least 2 inches to become around 6'11 or 7'0 even according to the Detroit press.

Anyone remember this kid's first game EVER? He entered the game at the end of the 4th quarter and DARKO stole the ball from someone and threw it up court to Amir. Amir was running like a freakin GAZELLE and did a windmill dunk that made the Sportscenter top 10 plays of the night. This was less than 1 minute worth of playing time. I remember fist pumping into the air like a MADMAN thinking about a future of a frontcourt of a developed Darko and Amir. Sadly, Darko was a bust and Amir may or may not ever windmill jam again.

If Amir can put on a lot more muscle (which he definitely began doing this year) and develop at least 1 solid post-move (he was getting decent at a hookshot at the end of the year), he should be able to rely on his atheleticism for years until he rounds his game out. His blocking ability is sort of ridiculous, too. Anyone see him and Cheikh Samb (the 7 foot African project-big man they have) play together earlier in the year? They were so tall and long nobody could get a shot up in the paint -- it was hysterical.

I think it was against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers the game you are referring too. Every single shot was block it seems or misdirected because of those two against KOBE AND THE lAKERS. However it looks very promising for the Detroit Pistons for the 10 years or more. With that young bench that could be a starter on any team in the league with so much youth and hidden talent like Amir Johnson and Lamb, Detroit has set itself for the playoffs for the next 20 yearS.

Looks like Amir Johnson Legacy has begun. He's starting today. Lets see if produces the numbers that he is hype up to do? He has produce great numbers in games that he played the most minutes. I think there was one game last year where he had like 12 points, 9 blocks, 8 steals, 7 assist or something that. Let see if he is the real deal.

This first article about Amir was written seversal months ago. Some great locker room information...I have a friend that works at the Palace and this is what he said. In practice Amir Johnson cannot be stop and makes all the Detroit Pistons look like duds when he plays. As you know almost all of Detroit players are all stars. If that is the case, the it is just a matter of time before Amir explodes into the national scene. Amir Johnson is kinda like Dominque Wilkins flash with longer arms than Tayshaun Prince. THis is one of the main reasons Joe Dumars got rid of Billips in a professional way. Stuckey and Amir are best friends and when they are in practice together they control the tempo and make the other players look like duds. Stuckey kept burning Billips in practice day after day. So Dumars know the time has come for Stuckey and Amir. Billips is great make no doubt about it. But Stuckey and Amir are about to explode into the national scene. Billips is One of the best ever and the most physical point guard Since. Isiah Thomas I belive. Denver got a good deal. So if all pans out the right way, Lebron James is really close to alot of Detoit Players. Especially Tayshaun Prince. Lebron Admires Tayshaun great because Tayshaun guards Lebron we he plays. Lebron admires Prince so much, he named his son
"Tay". So keep an Eye out for Stuckey/Amir combo. In the near future Lebron a Piston?
