Default Please share your strategy for the final day of the handicapping contest

I'm interested in hearing everyone's strategies for the final day of the handicapping contest.

    My strategy:

Pat Venditto is at -.31 units with 1 play left while I'm at -4.00 units with 1 play left. I've decided to go with Indiana Fever ML +315 and hope that Pat loses his final play. Otherwise, I'd have to pick a line around +550+ and I feel like I might as well resign as do that. I happen to think the Fever has a realistic chance to win their game and that's hard to find at such steep odds, imho. So, I've got to hope that Pat loses and I win. I feel that's more realistic than taking say, 42 M. Daniel +800 or something, imho.

Perhaps it not the wisest of moves to reveal this things till all plays are in but what the heck. I could have played this thing several ways but this was the plan I went for.
I"m down but wanted to create a situation in which I can win. To advance to need the Lakers to win tonite And Golden Goat to miss with his final selection. By using lakers +4 as my seventh pick I'm getting a free square basically. If the money line bet fails I'm done regardless! Golden Goat has the power! I need to have things my way to advance.

It doesn't really matter for people like us because if our competitor picks a winner, they win automatically so it really doesn't change anything for us, imho. Thanks for your post.

Having already sh¡t the bed with a bunch of nutty picks just having some fun, I'm going to just have a normal Tuesday here at work, congratulate Dark Horse when it's all official mañana and then move on to more important matters such as refereeing a my peepee is bigger than your peepee squabble between posters or reading through my PMs for more gems like the one I got the other day from a young man who claimed that ghosting was the only way to speak the truth You can't make this sh¡t up, folks.

I'm in the same boat. I need 2 winners (1st pick @ +183, 2nd pick @ +200), and need my opponent to lose what ever game he selects. Not a pretty situation to be in.

picoman needs 1 unit to take the #1 spot, so he took a heavy chalk in tennis at -170.

I think every option that's available to bettors in real life should be available in this contest. Shouldn't it be as realistic as possible?

I would like to see parlays, teasers, alternative point spreads and run lines, etc. That's the only way to make this a completely realistic competition, imho.

I don't know about "strategy" as much as it would appear that I have to win at least one play today! I'll be calculating what a loss would do and how much of a dog or favorite I need to choose to cover a loss, should that happen.
your best strategy is to take 2 favs at -142 or higher. all you need is 1 win.

It will be interesting to see if anyone who is in a deep hole can pull out a win by picking a large dog. That would be quite a dramatic win.

Pick a winner, if I do that I'm guaranteed on to the next rd., if not my opponent still has to nail his two dogs. If it were 5 star I'd be worried cuz he's used to nailin dogs every night (he told me roseann barr's a dime piece) . GL Cabo it's been a good match, so far you've caught me on a bit of a run but maybe it's time to sink my battleship.

My guy has to hit 2 underdogs. I will just take the dog on the spread because he will be taking moneyline.

To avoid that the person who is down could wait until 10 seconds before the window closes.

You can also take his dogs if he has no other options and if it will not hurt your lead. But that is lame, too.

Yeah, the last day was the most exciting of all 7. I think this will be the trend in these tourneys.
