The NBA at least has the finals on Network TV. Does not any major network want the NHL, is it a losing proposition for them?

still though it's only 1 game

It is kind of sad most of the games are on Vrs which is a channel we would not even know exist of the NHL was not on it

Isn't that the truth, outside of hockey and bull riding fans - most people don't even know what Versus is. Guess they did have some college fb and hoops last season.

Commissioner Gary Bettman had a decision to make post-lockout...

Sign with ESPN, who offered them very little money, or sign with the Outdoor Life Network (OLN), who offered more and promised to make hockey primetime and build their network around it.

Bettman, being absolutely brainless, signed with OLN.

Exposure is everything. No matter how many changes you make to the game, you'll never get new fans without exposure. Signing this deal effectively signed off on hockey being a second-tier sport with very little room for growth.

Playoff hockey (and the Stanley Cup Finals) are unrivaled when it comes to professional sports playoffs. Yet it is rotting away on a useless network.

If I ever see Gary Bettman in person, I will beat the **** out of him.
