I remember back in 2002 when I first started betting frequently, Sportbet seemed kind of scary and on the fringe. Jake has made great improvements at this book. I think people now play with them, with confidence that they will have a good experience and get paid.

Almost all of the book pics are in the mornings before the games and before they are fully staffed. The sportsbooks have been very accomodating, especially since they would all like to be shown at their busiest. |

kind of off topic, but you think the first thing these books would do is hire an on-staff handicapper guy...a guy who just reads up on teams, watches games and predicts line movements...just a thought, but I think it would help...even if they were to outsource it, hire a consultant of sorts...

Pags many have tried, most fail. Just pretty tough to beat the market. The ones that opener earlier or big use consultants who do provide that. Cascade as the most recent example of books that will go against the market; they seem to have done pretty well.

Very well said. I rememeber getting a call from them saying they were going to wipe the slate clean. They did not ask for an upgrade either which I respected. All they asked for was for us to watch them. Text book march up the SBR ratings so far... |

ok thanks. I put $300 in to test out the account but never saw a bonus hit. will see if woodbine hits later. I did like the fact I was able to bet up to post time(tried it out with a few tamba bay bets which hit woo lol).

I just talked on their live chat. And the guy I talked to didnt not know if they will be dime lines or not, and didnt know what they would be. He also didnt know where the line break is at, and said the Management hasnt decided on the new season yet. I was going to copy and paste the convo. but it cleared for some reason before I could.
So they do not know what they will offer as of yet, well this guy didnt anyway.

i asked them on there livechat when i was opening my account. they said no. then i had to call to activate the account. i didnt ask again, but the guy on the phone specifically told me they will be offering the dimelines. this was like 10 days ago.

I've been playing at Sportbet a lot recently, and I can echo a little of pdy's caution. They are extremely inconsistent with their policies, which are poorly documented, if at all. I've had several bets cancelled due to phantom rules. Every service agent gives you a different answer to just about any issue. I haven't attempted a cashout yet since I can't seem to meet my $8250 rollover(which changes every time I ask) even though I've wagered $27000+. I can't say that this book is outright bad, but there are some serious question marks here.

Just wanted to share my recent experience with Sportbet. They called me and offered me a 50% cash bonus. I made a deposit. I met the roll over in 9 days. Requested a Neteller payout and the money was in my account within an hour. They do calculate their roll over in a shitty way but they spell it all out for you. They didn't give me any trouble when I made my pay out request. I can't speak for others but my experience with them was a good one.

How many times have you been reading a thread like this & then reakize it's from 5 years ago? This is confusing, especially when people pull threads from seasons past on a team or a game. General, is there any way we could put a small date on the thread when you see it in the main forum of the day it was started. I think every one would agree it would be helpful
