If You Want A Good Laugh Watch MSNBC Tonight

I know no one usually watches this channel (according to the ratings) but you have to turn it on.

There's nothing better than Puffball, Odorman, and "It's Pat" crying about all the "disinformation" this and "not a grass roots movement" that. Just get over yourselves...the false irony isn't interesting...or remotely engaging...people know what they want, and THIS CONGRESS isn't it.

I am not saying the GOP is the end all be all. They could very well screw it up again, but what obviously HAS NOT worked is this Congress led by Pelosi and Reid.

Turn on MSNBC and make some popcorn, trust me.

As opposed to the current failed policies? Both parties are a joke, but nothing is funnier than watching "It's Pat" squirm.

Didn't we see the GOP have its run from 2000-06?

    How'd that work out?

Re-hiring a GOP congress is like Dallas hiring Wade Phillips back in November 2011.

I can't even stand to watch that channel. I only watch Fox News. In this order these are the only 3 that I follow.

    1. Hannity
    2. Bill O.
    3. Beck

and for Radio Rush daily. Anything else is worthless.

  10. #10

Watched it for an hour and a half earlier. Threw $100 on NCAAF just to have something to watch.

I have to respectfully disagree. I don't know any news or news opinion show more ahead of the curve than the Michael Savage show. Of course, if you like those guys, you won't like him. He doesn't carry water for the Republican party. Also, he's extremely educated. 2 PhD's, a masters in epidemiology, and he's written over 25 books on various topics (some unrelated to politics). If you're interested in learning things about life and politics in general tune in. If you want to listen to the same 5 or 10 talking points every day then listen to those guys.

Oh, and his current book is the #2 political book at Barnes & Noble, without the help of any mainstream or cable media.

People get their news for one of two reasons:

    1. Information or
    2. Affirmation

If you want more information and less affirmation, check him out:

Savage is a bit of a loon, entertaining, but still a loon.

He applied for a Dean position at UC Berkeley----I think it journalism----and he didn't get the job----it went to an Asian----so Savage sued Berkeley------a few months after that he dropped the lawsuit.

This is splitting hairs---but he has two M.S. degrees, and one PhD. The PhD is in "ethnomedicine"---which is homeopathic remedies.

The guy is entertaining, I will say that. I remember reading an article where Savage claimed that the rise in autism was just a way of getting more money for the poor.....well, the outrage over that moronic comment was pretty big and then Savage appeared on Larry King----and on King--Savage blamed the rise of autism on the pharmaceutical industry's drive for profits, proving his bravado is nothing but schtick for the radio.

Amazing thing is that Reid is projected to win again.

He has been there a long time, been crooked the entire time, and is a failed Senate leader. He's been in that seat for 24 years.

Reminds me of how Byrd and Kennedy kept being re-elected, no matter what they did. Crooks.

    A)It wasn't 60. He served 47 years.
B)Strom Thurmond died 7 years ago.

KKK member Byrd served 51 years as Senator from West Virignia.
Drunken killer Ted Kennedy served 47 years as Senator from Massachusetts.

Both were still in the Senate as of last year, although they both finally died.

Yeah my fault, I had my facts wrong, it was 2 masters degrees and 1 PhD, but the point I was trying to make here is he isn't just some talking head. I would DARE any one of those guys to have a real debate with him on ANY topic, much less politics. Is his show controversial? Yeah. Does he get worked up? Yeah. But it's not the Howard Stern show. The guy spent years harvesting plants in the South Pacific in an effort to bring alternative medicine to the forefront. He's written over 25 books. My point here is he's not just some guy reading talking points for the Republican party with a wire in his ear being fed information. Those with sense know the difference. Those with a mind understand when they hear him speak, it's not chalk on a blackboard, it's a man with a purpose.

Stupid comment I thought Ozzy Osbourne was responsible for all suicides. As I recall a fundementalist Christian took offense to Homosexuality Boortz called her out. She was forced to take some sensitivity training at College and she eventually killed herself. Yes I guess it is Boortzs fault. If you take a strong public stance expect criticism.

Just trying to give people other options besides the morons on the cable news networks. And, yeah, I guess, that's all discussed in the New Yorker article they did on him earlier this year. But, whatever, he's a sexual libertarian as far as I know (though he has said some off color remarks about gays during his mid 90's MSNBC years)...it was the 60's...not a lot else to add other than the more sources you have the better. And, I'm not sure what skinny dipping has to do with ones political observations, so since you're obviously enlightened why don't you share?

    (This should be good)
