Celtics won't get a road win in this series!
Get used to the reality that the finals is between Lakers and Pistons. Lakers will win it comfortably.
Also note that the Lakers will win at least one on the road.

So the Celts need a road win. Did everyone forget this team was 30-11 on the road this year? And they won their only trip to Detroit!

The Celts haven't HAD to win on the road during the playoffs because they have been arrogant enough to KNOW they wouldn't lose at home to their opponents in the first two rounds. They are now actually facing a team they respect, so not only would I not be surprised if they steal a game in Dertoit, but I actually expect them to.

Check the poll thread before the series when I said Celtics in 7 with the following comment:

Don't be surprised if each team wins one game on the road. (Yes, even Boston)

Great way to look at it. We havent seen the Celtics on the road yet with their backs against the walls needing a win. Every series so far was bs road games compare to this series.

This is the playoffs LT, not the regular season.

Also, should it be 30-17 on the road this year?

The important thing, which is being overlooked here, is if Ray Allen plays well the Celtics are going to win this series. He finally came alive game two. The officials also called the game fairly evenly, Boston didn't get away with things like they have been at home for the most part.

They'll win a game on the road, and I expect them to play better at home next time around.

I think you are missing my point Looker, If Boston was somehow upset at home somewhere in the first two rounds and needed to win on the road, I am sure they would have pulled it off with relative ease. This is the first time in the playoffs that they actually HAVE to win on the road, so now I expect to see the same team we saw during the regular year.

Its my personal belief that Boston has tried its hardest in all 6 previous playoff road games. They needed rest and they needed to win the first 2 series' quickly.
