Exclamation This is why liberal democrats are forever stupid....

They pass a 290 billion dollar farm bill, with a little food stamps for the poor on the side.

    Wait a second....

Farming incomes are at record highs......due to the bio-fuel diversion, another free market they f!@#ed up. All time high people. Have you heard of the food shortages?

So they toss them another 290 billion?

They had to keep the corporate welfare on to get Republicans to get on their side. They were more interested in getting aid to people that need it, which the Republicans DONT want. The Republicans are more champions of the farm lobby than the Dems right now.

You'll really think either party gives a rat@ass about anything? The both fvcking suck. Their job is to basically tell you what you need to hear and that's that.

Default If you aren't in a special interest gang, you are SOL in the USA!

If you aren't in a special interest gang,I mean group in this country, you are SOL!

Everyone wants to be in a guild, group, union, minority status, gender status, old people's AARP group,farmer.etc.etc.where politicians look out for your well being because you weild power as a gang and will vote them out of office if you don't receive welfare, grants, set asides.etc.

It's all a racket and there is no free market or equality where everyone reaps what they sew but it's who they know that counts. If you don't belong to a gang,I mean group, you are SOL and left to fend for yourself.Farmers are nothing more than whining welfare recipients. It shouldn't be this way and farming should be a valuable resource and honorable trade but it's become makework socialism.

I'm so tired of groups,I mean gangs like farmers constantly proclaiming how valuable and integral they are for the country's well being. They remind me of those football boiler room handicapping shows on fall Sunday morning's where the hosts scream that they should be recognized for being the best handicappers.Anytime someone has to tout themselves as being the best or greatest, something isn't adding up.If they are the greatest, you wouldn't have to be told they are the greatest.

    I'll second that.

We would be much better off if there were no "parties" at all. To be a republican or a democrat is to be closed minded. Nobody can possibly fit perfectly into a "party". Nobody is totally republican or totally democratic. You lean towards one or the other. All the 2 labels do is act to divide the country and make us weaker.

Even worse and more hypocritical is the Democrats energy policy, or lack thereof. They have the nerve to haul in oil company executives for show trials, but block any possible increase in our domestic supply that might bring down the price of that oil. Drilling for Oil in Alaska or offshore - nope. Expand our nuclear energy capability - nope. Expand coal production - nope. Their answer is giving subsidies to produce ethanol, and increase solar and wind power. Their lack of an answer is comical.

By the way, the Democrats also want to tax the hell out of the rich, so for the farm bill they will be giving subsidies to rich farmers while increasing their taxes at the same time. Talk about not having a clue.

If only you had a clue about them, that'd be the first step. Luckily for Republicans, those who are in other parties are either too lazy to vote or decide to try and 'make a point' by voting for those who are unelectable.

Keep up the good work. 20 out of 28 years and counting ... another 4 to soon come, leaving you with 4 more years to whine and complain about the injustice of it all

This is such a ridiculous notion. You really think that most farmers are rich? That's laughable. Drive through the country in Wisconsin and show me just ONE rich farmer. You need to stop believing everything you see on Fox News. There are still PLENTY of single family farms in the nation that struggle to make ends meet. Yes, there is a global food shortage but they're not supposed to subsidize the farmers? Who do you propose they should subsidize? The eaters?

It's also 28 out of the past 40 years. Now tell me smart guy, who's campaign did I work on in 1972? I mean, you seem to know all there is to know about me, my voting habits, probably even know what I had for dinner last night. So taking a stab at which candidate I not only voted for but actually worked for in 1972 should be too difficult for you

I would imagine nixion if your republican...No?

I dont know if I would be gloating to have worked for him though

    And willie, 1972?!!?!?!?!

Shh, AAO. I want to see if the mind reader can guess, after all he has a 50-50 chance (assuming he doesn't consider Pat Paulsen a legit candidate in 1972). Oh, and how is asking someone to look into their crystal ball "gloating?" Yes, 1972. It was the year right before 1973.

WB, how do I know you weren't head of the janitorial services at the White House in '72, believing that maintaining the facilities qualified you as working for a campaign?

Regardless, your vote counts for nothing this year -- McCain will win after Obama becomes the 3rd Dem in a row to shoot himself in the foot. My only question is how will they do it this time around?

Just me willie, But I would never tell anyone I worked for Nixon...And Im just saying 1972?!?!?! Wow.

    Stats for 1972

    New House cost $39,300
    New Car cost 4,355
    Gas 44 cents a gallon
    Stamps 13 cents

Hey, I think that was supposed to be humorous. At least I'm pretty sure my 12-year-old nephew might think it's funny. My vote always counts by the way; it's just not always cast for the winner. But if nothing else we have proven that you're not the mind-reader you think you are. I've never been to the White House.

I'll give you two more chances to show off your mind-reading skills: What were the two main reasons I worked on Nixon's re-election campaign in 1972?

Why would I want to hide that fact, AAO? I've got nothing to be ashamed of the job I did.

As for the 1972 bit blowing you away, sorry for not easing into the fact that there was indeed life before you arrived on the scene

WB, your vote has never mattered. Never decided anything. Never made a difference.

(except MAYBE in your own household)

One doesn't have to be a mindreader to see you are anti-Republican NOW. Who really cares what you were 30 some years ago? Relevance, Your Honor.

BUZZZZZZ! Wrong again, moneyline. Anti-Republican? Oh, and sorry about the inclusion of events more than 28 years ago. You were the one who first brought up the "20 out of 28 years" time span, correct?

Anyway, your sheepish sidestepping of the questions posed is something I should have expected, I guess. Have a nice life in your little world

It's also the one where I've been to more countries by the age of 35 that you will ever see in your lifetime, even counting the ones you view on television

You are the one who pigeon-holed me into a nice little compartment to begin with, moneyline. Of course you're way off with the compartment you placed me, but being right or wrong probably isn't too big of a priority.

I've been all over five continents, by the way. Was that you I saw running AWAY from the gunfire in Thailand some 30-odd years ago? I realize that's more than the 28-year span your little mind can operate with, but thought it was worth a try

Sorry the Republicans will have the White House again in November. Better luck in 2012 (or perhaps you could just remember back to the days of Kennedy since you are so enamored with the past)

  27. #27

You mean like you, enamored with just 20 of the past 28 years when you could be giddy with 28 of the last 40?

I believe I'll have good luck this fall with the election, moneyline. But since you don't seem to understand what I've been saying all along, it's no doubt pointless to explain it further. I think that's your train I hear pulling into the station, so I don't won't to hold you up any longer.

Whats sad is the Rep have done a lousy job for 8 years and the Dem still are tripping all over themselves and will strugle to get into the White House. guys like Ron Paul have no shot ,yet if you listen to the mother fvcker he makes a lot of sense. Sad day for Americans to come.

Yes Republicans promote free markets, that's the best thing about them, even better than how honest they are, which I would rate second. Then third I would say is how much they know about God and do what He wants, that I would put third. Then fourth is I would say how they don't do things like get divorces and make love to people of the same sex.

Those would be my top four, but promoting free markets is definitely first.

Let me ask you this: What policies of the Bush administration have improved your lifestyle since he took office?

You may have been to a bunch of other countries but that does not mean that you understand the people or their culture. You certainly don't seem to comprehend this country and the gigantic hole that this administration has dug for us.

Actually, it is funny, but the weakening dollar, while preventing Americans from traveling (not that many actually ever did) has actually promoted travel TO our country -- and those millions of extra visitors have stimulated our economy quite nicely.

Dow over 13,000 ... a great time for college students and others to buy property ... and we don't have to worry that our president is doing interns in the Oval Office ... not bad, actually!

(most agree -- that's why our guy was reelected, in case you didn't notice)

  35. #35

I wish the worst of our worries in this country was our President "doing interns." Are you kidding me? Get your priorities straight. The best things you can come up with for this administration's policies are economic struggles. I'd love for you to explain to me how these fresh college grads are supposed to buy these cheap houses when there aren't any jobs for them and getting a mortgage on virtually no credit is nearly impossible at the moment.
