Default Don't mess with Texas-SPURS ML

Am I the only one who is playing spurs ML tonight? For what should be a very close game I cant pass up the price tag being offered and somebody else has got to see the value here

    TopGame,
Going against the Lakers at home is a huge no-no. There is no such thing as a value bet as we discussed in a MMA fight thead a few weeks ago if it is NOT going to win.

This is a good point, Its just hard to lay 110 when you are expecting a close game as I am I may do what I have done in the past and put like 440 on lakers-7 and 400 on spurs ml and just hope not to get middled so if lakers cover i break even and if spurs win i pick up a decent profit dunno.........

Not a bad idea. If you really feel a close game just take the +7

In general, this is a VERY bad idea. Unless your units are around $800+, this is a completely twisted way of looking at this game. Even then, I don't see the logic. If you're thinking the Lakers win big OR the Spurs win outright, then there seems to be some faulty capping at hand. It sounds like you're thinking the game will be close and MAYBE the Spurs pull it out. If I were you, I'd either play the Spurs +7 w/ maybe a 1/4 unit on the ML or tease the Spurs up to +12 connected with whichever side of the Boston/Detroit game 2 (I'd lean Detroit, but go with what feels best to you). You'll feel terrible if SA is up by 2 with a minute but ends up losing by a couple. Good luck, regardless.

The long layoff will definately hurt the Lakers, just like it did the Pistons.

Would not surprise me if it comes down to the final seconds. Worth a shot at 3-1.

The lay off/ fact Spurs just won one on the road and should build their confidence coming in I think my final play is-
    $250 spurs ML
$440 spurs with the points won't get it in for a few hours hoping for favorable line moves

I do think that the Spurs win one game in LA this series, but I don't think it's tonight.

Lakers are 48-54-1 ATS the past 93 with 3 or more day's rest inbetween games.

    They've been off 4 days.

    topgame85,

You are failing to understand that David Stern and his league want a Lakers/Celtics Finals. Therefore, they will assign to the games referees who favor the Lakers by giving them the majority of calls and will never ever foul out an important Lakers player.

This is fact. It has been going on for years under the direction of Stern. San Antonio would have to outplay the Lakers by a wide margin in order to overcome the league and the referees. Considering that the teams are more-or-less evenly matched, it won't happen. Lakers and Celtics win their series without any doubts

Based on my understanding of how you are looking at this game, I think this is the correct play. I would not be surprised, at all, to see SA win this game tonight. Contrary to popular belief, the Lakers do not HAVE to win this game tonight. If this game is close (within 5) at half, it's a coinflip in my opinion.

    Best of luck.

OK, conspiracy theorists, like I've said before, I used to be one of you. I'll give you some topics to discuss amongst yourselves as to why David Stern wanted THESE series results to happen.

2007 San Antonio defeats (Lebron's) Cleveland for title
    2007 San Antonio defeats Phoenix
2006 (Mark Cuban's) Dallas defeats Phoenix to advance to finals
2005 Detroit defeats Miami to advance to finals
2005 San Antonio defeats Phoenix to advance to finals
    2005 Indiana defeats Boston
2004 Detroit defeats Lakers for title
    2003 New Jersey defeats Boston
    2003 San Antonio defeats Lakers
2002 New Jersey defeats Boston to advance to finals

That should keep you guys busy for a while.

Do not feel bad for us sitting in the crowd. And let me tell you why. Getting to the game yesterday was the worst ever. I have season tickets and it took me till the end of the second quarter to get in to my seat. And when I got home and watched the replay, you could se the obvious low in the crowd. Does any one wanna take a guess why the crowd was so small and late to the game???
Well anyone ever heard of a little show called the American Idol? Well there final was about a block away from the Staples Center, traffic was a nightmare. Not Only traffic but you would have thought Britney Spears was running down the street naked with all the News Media Vans.
But Once we fans settled down and our Lakers noticed the change in the crowd is when we began our comeback, and what a comeback it was.
Like Iwinyourmoney said you don't bet against the lakers at home its a no no. I didn't!!!
