June Madness: Road to the Final Four

Champion: earns $100 cash account at DSI ($175 total prizes)*
Finals: earns $50 cash account at DSI ($75 total prizes)*
Final Four: earns $25 cash account*
*all prizes come with 3x roll-over

We'll have the following sports:

• MLB: moneylines/runlinesl/totals (no favs over -140)
• WNBA: sides/totals/moneylines (no mls over -140)
• NBA: sides/totals/moneylines/1H sides/1H totals (no mls over -140)
• Soccer: Sides/Totals (no mls over -160)
• Tennis: (no mls over -175)
• NHL: Sides/Totals (no mls over -140)
• AFL: Sides, Totals, Moneylines. (no mls over -140)

The rules:

• This contest will be graded on units, not wins/losses.
• Post your plays in your individual contest threads. These threads are for your picks, talking about the matchup, and so on. Your up to date matchup statistics will be updated in those threads daily.
• edited posts will not count. they wont be wins or losses, just a 'no play'.
• official lines will be posted at the top of this page. Those are the lines to be used.
• You will have a max number of plays per day set at 2, a minimum of 0.
• You will have to make 7 plays over the course of five days. You must make 7 plays over the course of the 5 days in order to have the chance to move on. The first round max is 7 plays. The first round minimum is 7 plays.
• We will play Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. At the end of the day Tuesday, we'll get started towards round No.2.
• You may not use the same play as your opponent. Two people going head to head can not use the exact same play. So, if you see your opponent on a play, you may not use it. The first to post a pick is entitled to that pick.
• In round 2 we will go to 10 games over the course of 6 days.
• each play is 1 unit. a favorite is 'to win' one unit while a dog play is a risk of 1 unit.
  
  1. a -140 loser will = -1.40.
  2. a +140 winner will = +1.40.
  3. a +140 loser will = -1.00.
  4. a -140 winner will = +1.00

after my first round. both robzilla and fingas are pretty tough. fingas is probably going all soccer...which is bad because lots of soccer game going on right now. i am rooting for robzilla to win 1st round because NFL is over, so i'd have a higher chance 2nd round.

Thanks bud. I wish I felt even remotely confident about this. I've got a tough road to hoe, but it's manageable. Whoever gets hot will advance. Still trying to figure out my basic strategy in terms of the role of +150 and up dogs in this thing. Also difficult to attempt to cap your opponent and figure out betting tendencies, but that's what makes this such a unique contest. I'm not going to bother posting a pick for any region, though if I had to, I'd say rjt advances out of the EDIT: (South)...
