Per ESPN, the odds for the Bulls to get #1 pick have the same odds as: Ben Gordon making 27 straight free throws.

With so many good top ten picks this year coming out of college it may be easier to drop down a few spots to pick a better player. Deron Williams and Chris Paul were picked further down the draft a few years ago whereas Okafor and Bagnani where top picks that busted in my opinion.

Arthur over beasely huh? thats interesting. I havent seen much of Arthur this season, but most people have him just outside of the lottery.

This is one of the most talented NBA drafts ive ever seen.

Derrick Rose is a no brainer, an absolute no brainer. I can only imagine how many coaches have now contacted the Bulls regarding their current coaching vacancy.

Welcome home Derrick, I missed you.

Right, after the 1 and 2 spot there is room to debate. If I was in the 4 range I would trade down a few spots...find some Isaiah Thomas type of sucker to draft the OJ Mayos and give me their next year's pick.

Beasley goes over Rose. Bulls need a post player. Beasley is taller and a work horse.

I think there are a clear top 3, maybe even top 4 if you like Lopez, and then its a drop off. Im higher on Mayo than you seem to be, but if i could move down to the 9th and pick up another 1rst, its a no brainer. this is the deepest nba draft i think ive ever seen. The wiz wont pick till 18th i believe and there are names like clark, budinger, greene, augustine, speights, arthur, lawson, thabeet, and CDR dropping that far in various mock drafts. it would be a nice year to trade back with a team that had multiple first round selections, but i believe Seattle and Memphis are the only two teams that have more than one first round pick but both of those teams are in the top 5 already. Maybe seattle could pack up the 5th, 24th, and next years first to put themselves in a position to take Rose. Rose running the show with durant would be interesting.

They owed the bulls a favor for bringing the NBA to a higher level of life with the whole Jordan era.

Its a no brainer......... gotta draft the best player in the draft: Beastley!!!!!!!!!

The last thing Chicago wants to do is draft another PG with a top pick. Remember a certain bust named Jay Williams? He was drafted second overall and played all of one season.

Not saying Rose is as bad as Jay but he's so overrated. I mean there are nutjobs claiming he'll be better than Chris Paul!!!!!!!!!

I mean Rose is talented but he played in a crappy conf and whenever he faced a good non conf opponent like USC he dissapeared while Beastley flourished under pressure.

Bulls passing on him would be like Portland passing on Jordan.

They would be stone cold idiots not to draft Rose here. Hinrich needs to be moved to the 2.

Williams did not only play one season because he was a bad basketball player. That post lacks much rational thought.

imo, you cant go wrong with the top 2. i like beasely because hes from about 10 minutes down the street from me, but i think id take rose. Rose will be on the all star team next season.

Jay Williams' rookie stats: 9.5ppg, 4.7apg, 39% FG....... that's worse than Smush Parker's stats with the Lakers. Heck, it's worse than Kirk Hinrich's worst season in Chicago.

It wasn't the bike accident that ended his career, if that's what you're implying. Did the Bulls cut Jordan too when he broke his leg in his 2nd season? No, because he had a fantastic rookie season so he earned a spot. If Jay had been great, there is no way he would've been released.

There is no way in hell Derrick Rose will be an all-star next season. Why? Because he had a good March????? Historically, there's been tons of players who played great in March, many of them parlaying it in to a lotto pick. Such as Marcus Fizer, Ed O'bannon, Bobby Hurley, Jerome Moiso, Michael Conley Jr..... all BUSTS.

Not saying Derrick Rose will be a bust, but he's nothing special whatsoever. During the reg season, he had 11 games where he scored less than 10 pts. I mean he avg 14ppg in college against inferior teams. Just because the announcers hyped him up during MM for ratings and people think he'll be better than Chris Paul. Just ludicrous.

I mean look at how much Conley Jr was hyped during MM..... now he's just a below avg guard in the NBA. Definately not worth a lotto pick.

Beastley will be a far better pro. How many 6-10 guys do you know that can shoot 38% from 3pt range? How many 6-10 guys do you know that has the ability to score at will as soon as he steps on the court? The guy is a star in the making. Rose will be just another avg guard in the league.

again with the silliness. williams started as a rook and posted a triple double in his first season in the league. the accident had everything to do with how is career turned out, to suggest otherwise is foolish.

as for rose, a good march? he had a great season. How about in nov when he dropped 24 on uconn? His march wasn't some fluke, i can name players that had a great tourney run that have also been decent in the pros. Carmelo Anthony comes to mind. if you're making comparisons, at least make them with other freshman who took their team to the NCAA finals and then declared.

nothing special? whats not special about him other than his 3 point game? he shot better from the field this season than consensus #3 Bayless while also recording more assists per game, rebounds, and steals...all with fewer turnovers. Rose is a 6-4 pg that can rebound, get to the whole when he wants, and can dish the ball in transition or in the half court. The NBA style suits him better with much less zone played against him. Rose will make no fewer than 5 all star games if he is healthy throughout his career.

Not sure why you reference Connely so much, no one has ever suggested that he was half as good as rose. he was a stretch as a lottery pick imo, we'll see how that pans out.

so anyone who has ONE triple double as a rookie is now considered a great player? even though he was LOUSY the rest of the season with one of the worst stats for a top 3 draft pick?

The injury had nothing to do with it. There's been plenty of others who had just as bad an injury as he. I mean Turiaff of the Lakers had an OPEN HEART SURGERY due to a life threatening condition and he's playing a vital role in the Lakers' run to the championship.

What about when Rose scored 4 pts against the mighty Arkansas St? 9 pts vs. USC.... 4 pts vs. powerhouse Middle Tenn St.... 6 vs. Siena.... 5 vs. Pepperdine.... 6 vs. Rice..... 11 total vs. UAB (2 games)....... 13 total vs. Tulsa (2 games)....... I mean he did turn it up in March.... which is the only reason why people believe the hype.

Conley Jr had the same exact hype as Rose coming out last year. That's why he was drafted #4 overall. His rookie season was WORSE than Jay Williams'. I guarantee Memphis wishes he has a bike accident so they can release him too and recoup their money.

Rose had much better players around him than Beasley, which is why they lost only 1 regular season game. Then he choked the title clinching FT.

no, its just something that not many rookies do, princess.

yes, the injury had everything to do with it. Its laughable that you suggest that 'plenty of others had injuries just as bad'...
Williams severed a main nerve in his leg, fractured his pelvis and tore three ligaments in his left knee including the ACL and required physical therapy to regain the use of his leg.
Not exactly a minor injury, but who cares when we could just make things up and report it as truth? you seem good at it.

I think the fact that he scored so few in those games only furthers my point. Do you think he didnt score many in those games because the competition was too stiff? or, perhaps, he only scored 4 against middle tn st because he only shot 5 times? Maybe he didnt feel the need to score a lot against sienna in a game his team won by 44? as for the USC game, its nice to know you've got a pg that can pull down 10 boards in a game when his shot isnt falling. I would do a better job of arguing your side than you're doing and i don't even believe it.

Connely had nowhere near the hype, he was never consider a number 1 pick. This years draft is much better and Rose is considered the top player in it.

Rose had better players around him and got Much further by crushing every team.

no, its just something that not many rookies do, princess.

You're the one who stated it as if it were some great accomplishment. As if that would make up for his lousy season, considering his draft position and the amount of money they were paying him. Oooooooooo, 1 triple double. WOW it was worth all the millions we gave him!!!!!

yes, the injury had everything to do with it. Its laughable that you suggest that 'plenty of others had injuries just as bad'...

Seems like a pussy considering Bobby Hurley got thrown out the windshield and face first in to a ditch. AND continued playing for 4 more seasons.

    Look up Willis Mcgahee.

So basically whoever drafts him will be paying millions for a guy who can't score but grabs a few rebounds. So how will that make him an all-star or better than Chris Paul?

Connely had nowhere near the hype, he was never consider a number 1 pick. This years draft is much better and Rose is considered the top player in it.

He went from a virtual unknown to a lotto pick after his great performances in MM. I'd say that's a pretty good hype machine.

Rose had better players around him and got Much further by crushing every team.

They didn't crush TN or Kansas. But it shows how his teammates had to keep picking up his slack due to his dissapearance in many games.
