    Thumbs up

While you may not want to purchase J.R. Miller's picks due to cost, his "free" info, advise, pointers, etc. on his website are worth more--far more--than any free pick that you would get over the internet. While it will take you hours to absorb the content on his website, it is worth its weight in gold. The URL is as follows:

If they win then they are.

You're a lot better off by going to different forums and seeing which people are consistently good handicappers and following their picks.

In my limited experience, 95% of tout services seem like scams. They operate just like infomercials. I actually called some of the 1-800 numbers for tout services like "Rick Cash" and simply got a high pressure sales pitch. After some talking, he finally gave the 3 free picks as promised, but they went 1-2 ATS, plus one of the picks was for under 199 on a certain NBA game, but nobody was even offering anything higher than 196. "Buyer beware" is a huge understatement, to say the least.

Your better off flipping a coin, then using one of those tout services.

Head over to the Sports and Wagers forum here at SBR, there are some good cappers in there.
