Toronto decides to put players in the end zone to return the kick if missed (it was a 36 yd FG, but remember CFL has 30 yd endzones). Montreal misses the FG, and Toronto is forced to kick it out to avoid the single point. They do and Montreal catches it and punts it back into the endzone. Toronto catches it in the endzone and punts it again, but the punter basically whiffs and it rolls around, and is recovered in the endzone by Montreal. TD Montreal. Game over, Montreal wins by 7, somehow. I do not pretend to understand it. I will just cash the ticket.

here is a synopsis of final play
als line up for 33 yard field goal...if they miss they can still win with a single...ball is not returned out of endzone
field goal is missed and ball almost goes out of endzone(20 yards deep) but 2 players jump at end line and knock ball back
no chance to run it out now so they punt it out
original kicker catches ball and punts it back in
player tries to catch it but muffs it
runs forward kicks ball on ground
ball bounces between players and finally about 2 yards deep in endzone recovered for td
another normal cfl game

With twnety yard endzones and goal posts at the front the field goal only needs to go 20 less yards to guarantee points if you can get it through the uprights.

Okay even after watching the video and reading people's responses. WTF was that lol. Why did the team knock the ball back in bounds in the first place? Would they not retain possession after the miss? And what were the announcers talking about getting 1 point? I don't get this shit, fuckin Canada man

First of all, how is it a point if the ball goes out the back of the endzone on a FG?
Second, why didn't the FG kicker kick it straight as hell out the back of the endzone instead of kicking it at an angle and trying to make it?
Third, 5 yard rule? You should be able to block the shit out of those "kick outs"
