I found a site that would randomize the drawing for us. Random.org is responsible for the seedings, for the most part. I will try to make a few fun first round matchups.

The rules:
We'll have the following sports:

• MLB: ml/totals (no favs over -140)
• WNBA: sides/totals/mls (no mls over -140)
• NBA: sides/totals/mls (no mls over -140)
• Soccer: Sides/Totals (no mls over -160)
• Tennis: (no mls over -175)
• NHL: Sides/Totals (no mls over -140)

• This contest will be graded on units, not wins/losses.
• You will have a max number of plays per day set at 2, a minimum of 0.
• You will have to make 7 plays over the course of five days. You must make 7 plays over the course of the 5 days in order to have the chance to move on.
• We will play Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. At the end of the day tuesday, we'll get started towards round No.2.
• You may not use the same play as your opponent. Two people going head to head can not use the exact same play. So, if you see your opponent on a play, you may not use it. The first to post a pick is entitled to that pick.
• In round 2 we will go to 10 games over the course of 6 days.
• each play is 1 unit. a fav is 'to win' one unit while a dog play is a risk of 1 unit. a -140 loser will = -1.40. a +140 winner will = +1.40.

I think #1-#2 seeds should be set by you and another unbiased person and the rest randomized.

** is helping me some with this and im going to see if dio can as well. Ive already done the seedings for this one, but next time we can use the overal forum performance, tourney #1, and the best bet standings to get our top 8-16 seeds.

as i mentioned, a dog play will be graded as a risk of one unit while a fav will be graded as a play 'to win' one unit. A loss on a one unit risk will be -1.00

Maybe in the next one. we've got a lot going on here already. Next time we may be able to figure out a way to add horses, mma, boxing and things like that, but i want to make sure this first one goes as smoothly as possible and then we'll see what additions/subtractions we want for the next go around.

You can definitely get to much going before you get a system figured out once you have a base to work off of it seems to fall in place

this is our contest run by us. I will ask Mr Bill again if he wants SBR to be a part and get some money at a book, but the guy is ridiculously busy.

so, as is, i need some suggestions for prizes i can do myself. I was thinking about a couple football tickets to a game played by the winners fav team, but im not sure how much that would be. I want to do something decent for the guys/gals though.

Question about the rules: Is 7 the maximum number of plays one can make for the week? You can make a maximum of 2 plays per day, so can a poster play 2 games each day for the 5-day duration, resulting in 10 plays total? Or must you stop when you reach 7 plays?
