That's why it makes sense to integrate a simple option of "hide this users avatar", instead of the universal "hide all users avatars". I suggested this a few months ago.

That's a risk you'd just have to take. It sounds like a fair trade off for those which support animated avatars, and those that oppose them. Unfortunately, what this ultimately amounts to is what Bill wants. I bet if you polled all SBR employees more are in favor of retaining them, even if it's not their personal preference, restricting animated avatars for a forum of this popularity seems so anal.

Why does this matter? I am here to post not look at avatars. If I dislike an avatar I simply don't look at it.

yeah i agree, why would anyone say no? I, myself, actually enjoy looking at some, weather its a hot girl, something funny, or amusing....why anyone would mind them is beyond me!
