Default How often do people here re-install their factory original Windows software=scrubdown

Just wondering if there are alot of people here like me who don't have to save anything on their computer and will reinstall their factory original Windows software for a total scrubdown now and then?Is it true that even when you do this, there is still a log that tracks the history of what you did on your computer?

A person can really gather up some crazy spyware-trojans-popups etc.from downloading poker rooms to porn. You get a special feeling of comfort and security when you start out fresh again, like a virgin, born again Christian or going through some sort of 12 step program.hehe!Too bad life doesn't work that way.

If you do a complete restore with the factory provided stuff, its like a brand new hard drive. No log or trace

Kim Komando said that if you do this scrubdown too may times you can destroy your hard drive?Truth or myth?I must have done it 50 times and the computer still works like the day I bought it. One time I really FU%%ed up though and didn't realise a disc had a small crack in it and I couldn't go back and couldn't move forward. The factory had all my info.and sent me the new discs in a few days for $20 Anyone want to get freaked out about downloading and saving files. On the George Norri ''Art Bell''Coast to Coast radio show at night a computer expert said that they will be able to download your brain to a computer right before you croak. You will live through your computer. You don't want someone to scrub that computer down.hehe!

if you write zero's to your hard drive it will erase almost everything but you have to do a new install with your operating system
