Lightbulb Should we have a book put up odds on who wins the SBR Poker Tourney?

I think it would be fun...probably a low max but you guys could put your money where your mouth is

we could rig this tournament like the refs and players rig the nba. kellen will be a 250 to 1 dog and will win we will raise all but 1 chip we have and then fold to kellens re raiise all in. even if its 50$ max we can bury the books

after reading the title of this thread this was the first thing i thought of. if kellen won at 250 to 1 for $50 that would payout 12.5 dimes.

I really think this should be done. I have no clue on how to lay the odds on this but it will make it a lot more exciting.

Not sure about a book having odds as no one really has any idea how the other players play (except for a couple of SBR tourneys with like 15 entrants), but we should have a calcutta before the tourney

I'm pretty sure the book will make everyone start out at about the same odds and adjust very heavily as certain players are bet on. Plus I'm sure the limits will be very low. The book will do this more for fun than to make any real $, I'm sure.

Maybe you could do some side betting on Matchbook's X-bet, since almost everyone has Matchbook.

Any details on the structure of the tourney? If its the typical Vegas tourist tournament structure there won't be much in the way of skill involved once it gets past the 4th or 5th level. If it were structured along the lines of the Venetian's deep stack tournaments, at least there would be some room for play before being severely limited by the blind levels.
