The usual story, complete moron gets a ton of cash by being good at playing with a ball and has only one goal to blow it on bullshit, Daly/Barkeley/Tyson will die absolutely flat broke and their relatives will be living in trailers b/c of their idiocy. Like in Bull Durham, tons of talent but no brains.

I seriously doubt he's hurting for cash, who knows why this happened, there are two sides to every story remember.. Maybe it's their mistake somehow. He just renewed his deal with TNT, he is in commercial after commercial, he made a fortune playing ball, the guy can afford to gamble..

Former NBA and Auburn University star Charles Barkley said he was "disappointed'' that a Las Vegas prosecutor is threatening felony charges against him for not paying a $400,000 gambling debt.

Wynn Las Vegas filed court documents Wednesday alleging that Barkley failed to repay four $100,000 casino markers, or loans, he received last Oct. 18 and 19. The lawsuit, filed by Wynn Resorts, the parent company of Wynn Las Vegas, also seeks attorneys fees, court costs, and interest.

"It's my fault,'' said Barkley, who was at Ross Bridge to participate in the Regions Charity Classic Pro-Am on Thursday.

"I owe it. I've let too much time lapse and it's my fault and I'll handle it.''

Charles was just letting it slide. Hey he's a gambler. He's trying to make money with that money. Now he will pay it. But the Wynn knew they had to make this public if they wanted to get paid this year.

Come on guys, dont be so harsh. We're all like Barkley here. Except for the fact some of us are not barreled in (I sure as hell aren't). Doesn't chance the fact most people on this forum are compulsive gamblers too.

Good to know who to bet against though.

I bet Chuck isn't living as comfy as he used to. He wouldn't be the first star to go belly up. Sh1t, I don't even know if Mike Tyson used to gamble and he managed to f!@# up like 30-50 million. How bout' ** Hammer, remember that clown....think he tossed away 50 Mil +. It can go as quick as it comes.

    Default Moron!

The guy is a character and is a hoot but he's a moron!!!!!OK,the guy should have 25-100 mill salted away. Why would a person gamble when you have that kind of money? Will his lifestyle get better if he wins a few more million?Absolutely not! Will his lifestyle get worse if he starts losing alot of money gambling?Yes,maybe and probably. He already won the financial game of life and by gambling he's giving the world a chance to whoop his ass.

Then of course it's not good for endorsements when your name is spread all over like horse shit that you are gambling alot and not paying on losing bets.He is losing more on future endorsements by soiling his reputation than he could make gambling.Another dumb athlete!!!!!

Here's a link that says he'll be making somewhere in the mid-seven figures for the next four years.
