Sent a wire to MB last August, money was placed into my account in about 5-6 business days and everything was smooth.

Went to wire some money for the upcoming French Open, all the information was the same but this time I get a call about 10 minutes ago from the bank lady and she started asking me about where the money was going to and its ultimate destination and what not. She said the bank is now forced to inquire about any wires being sent to Antigua and some other Carribean countries.

I got asked and told them it was to lease a spot to keep a boat. The lie just came to mea, it was weird. She didn't believe me, but sent it through anyway.

It sucks, though, to have to be nervous when dealing with your own bank. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they sent a SAR in on me for the few grand I wired.

These risks aren't even worth it anymore IMO unless you do this for a living or something.

BB , can one not send bank check via FedEx to matchbook ?

Unfortunately, they don't have that option. I wish they did, as that option is considerably more ideal than the current set of depositing methods they offer.

Its a pain in the ass doing a wire.I tried to do one a couple months ago and the people at my bank were looking at me like I was speaking another language.They had no idea how to do it and when they got a manager over all they did was ask for information that they didn't need so I just told them to forget about it and left.I hate dealing with stupid people, just ruins my day
