If you are using it just for the internet then getting this type of computer would be all you need.Plus its a dell and dell's are good.I have one myself
However, it can be a matter of preference but alot of people prefer a laptop with a pentium chip over an AMD chip but I guess if you are using the laptop solely for the internet then the cheaper the better.

If you really wanted to save some money and get a pretty decent computer you can check out ebay because they sometimes have used computers on there for dirt cheap.Of course you have to fish around for a seller that has a decent feedback and stuff but its worth a try.

Should be fine for what you are using it for. I have had a couple of AMD's and have had no problems.

Robzilla only uses the HP Pavilion Entertainment PC dv9000 Widescreen laptop.

After owning both Toshiba and Gateway, and having a Dell now...I'll never own another computer that isn't a Dell. Good choice.

well I got it , bought it at a local store. they didnt have the online special with the bag & mouse but after fussing with the supervisor she discounted the bag & mouse to equal the online deal.

took only a few minutes to set it up , now it is charging up will connect to my wifi soon and post with it.

btw-- i used CW's debit card ($500) to pay for it , just wanted to see if the P.O.S. option worked. Thanks CW for the LapTop

FI is right on both scores.

Apple is best.

I've have a Dell laptop for almost 3 years. Highly overrated. Trouble prone, tho I use it a lot in a partime biz. According to someone I (now) know in IT, Asus is the best of the pcs. But mac is best.
