Default Don't lay the chalk with the Mets this afternoon

Pelfrey walks more batters than he K's
He has allowed LDs on over 26% of the batted balls against him.

These numbers are even worse than last years when he was atrocious. The Nats roster is hitting over .300 against him as a team, but 3 of those hits are by pitchers. Im not sure if that takes away from what the Nats have done or if it adds to the embarrassment that is Pelfrey.

Bergmann has had great success against the Mets. Beltran and Reyes have given Bergmann trouble, but the mets roster is only hitting .217 against him, but that does include 0-4 from the pitching spot.

Berg is striking out almost a batter per inning and has more Ks than HA on the season. Bergmann is also getting 6Ks for every walk allowed.

+162 is too good to pass here.

Whoa, gotta disagree with you homeboy. You my boy, I'd leave SBR if you left, so this is all love. But I gotta disagree with you homie.

I think Pelfrey will be ok today, he had a good start last time and it was because he altered his approach a bit.

I'm not sure if I'll bet the Mets here, but no way would I put money on Washington. I did already take the under 9.5 for a decent amount, and may bet this game in other ways as well.

But my point is, I think Pelfrey will be ok today and I would not bet money on Washington.

But GL if you do, I doubt I'll bet the Mets either.

Too much value in the Nats imo. What exactly did pelfrey alter? whatever he did resulted in an inordinate amount of fly balls which is good in this park, but ive read many times that pelfrey has changed something and then he comes out and gets lit up. simply put, i don't know what he throws thats going to be able to consistently get people out. Bergmann has done well vs. vs the mets and getting back 160 is more than i hoped for.

btw, if you left i would poke a hole in my doinkin stick and sing jonny cash songs until you came back. please don't go.

can't write much now, looking at other games but he got rid of the two-seamer, he's throwing more strikes now and I think that will help him. Yes his fly balls are up which will hurt him against certain teams in certain places but if his control is better it will help him more especially at home.

I did in fact wind up taking Wash on the 5-inning line, and no bet on a FG side for me, so yes I agree with you about the big Wash line but I don't think there's big value if any at all with them on the FG.

    I took the under 9.5.

what games are you looking at?

Pelg through more strikes in his last game than any others, but we'll see how he does without the 2 seemer over the course of the next month. Pelf already had a limited arsenal to attack a lineup with, I'm not sure how he's going to be able to keep guys off balance. Throwing strikes is one thing, throwing strikes where you want them is another. In his 12 Fbs last time out none left the yard, he wont be that lucky all the time...as you mentioned.

two walks already, starting off most guys with pitches out of the zone. he went to 3 balls on the first 3 batters he faced in the 3rd...but the nats leave 2 on.

pelf has started 5 straight batters out with ball one. HG, looks like your boy needs more work.

nats get a hit then CS. Then a hit batter, then more ground outs. pelf isnt keeping the ball down, but we're pounding it into the ground.

Too bad I dont bet bases till NBA is over. If you think your run will come to an end soon, just bet less per game going forward!

Great analysis Mo. Your are seeing things very well. Don't change a thing. I have been adding to the bankroll by betting more after a win. Reverse from anything I have ever done before. After a loss I go back to the base bet. After a win I take 25% to 50% and lock it up as a sorta reserve bankroll tank. Then the remainder is added to the next days bet or used to play a total or a second game.
This method has been working on the tables as well. It feels weird at first but 4 days in a row at the casinos with great success.
The bets can climb quickly on a nice run of 5 -7 winners in a row.

There's a lot of turmoil in the Mets clubhouse right now. Wagner called out Perez and alluded to a few others about dogging it.

Wagner has never been shy about his feelings. I remember he used to light up Milledge; and with good reason.
