1. How about when you look in your cheap pocketbook and see $40 and $50 missing per clip but you ignore in the beginning because you think Dexter just needed a few bucks and forgot to ask you.

2. How about when from time to time Dexter forgets or misses the mail and a loan statement come back and you open it and see small loans for 2k?? Of course he will have a legit reason and you will believe him.

3. How about the angry mood swings when he calls you every name in the book because he lost a bet, loan sharks breathing down his back or a bookmaker threatening to break his legs.

4. How about when you buy your home and he starts playing around with re mortgages not because to lower the payment but to get more money to pay off debts, you will be too stupid to figure out his game.

5. How about when Dexter wipes out your checking out once your deep into the relationship??

Nicky was being nice but I am giving you the cold hard facts being involved with a gambler, all these things will build up and you will eventually be a victim of gambler wife and most of the time in the early stages he will con you but eventually you will figure it all out and your life will be in a shambles.

Oh, I was speaking of men in general, not my man in particular. He is the exception, not the rule. I can't sleep if he's not in bed with me. We eat on the couch together (partly because we don't have a kitchen table at the moment). I love his snoring. It's soothing to me. Plus, nothing upsets him enough to deprive me of his love staff...not even the Pats blowing their perfect season.

I do get a little neglected during football season. He gets moody at times, but we're madly in love. No one is perfect 100% of the time. He loves football. I accept that. I accept that we can't EVER make plans on a Sunday or Monday night during the season. No vacations...or even a weekend getaway from August to January (or February). I like cooking up big lasagnes for him and his friends on game day and making runs to the fridge for their beer when they just can't peel themselves away from the TV. I actually can't wait for us to have a bigger place so we can entertain more of his buddies. It's all worth it to see the look of pride on his face when his friends say: "Dude, you have the best chick ever."
