its a psychological thing;; i will be on the nyy tomorrow only because of wang;; but don't bet the house ;; tb loves to abuse the evil empire esp now that they are a strong tm;; remember they gave the yanks probs even when they were a bad tm

You always pick the toughest games to examine.

This is a tough one, more uncertainty, conflicting factors, and strength vs strength than most games, I doubt I'll bet this one at all, if I do it will be small.

Wang can easily be lights-out, Jackson is very inconsistent still.

Yanks bats are overrated, Rays can be good but can be silenced.

Last year Wang went 3 times at Tropicana and each game was very similar - the 6 IP 3 run type. But I do think he si set up for a better game this time.

I'm leaning towards the Yanks and the under, and I may bet it like I bet the Atl/Pitt game 2 - a bet on the road team run line and a bet on the under.

But if I do bet the game it won't be big.

    the yanks suck
why not take tb as a home dog
where is there value in nyy -135?

okay guys... to be honest i think TB will win.. but not enough to bet on it considering i have no reason to go agasin WANG... and that is enough to make me not play the game at all....

I vote just stay away. Rays can be great but so can the yanks... if anything just see if the rays moneyline climbs to a nice value and throw something little on them.

Or if the opposite happens, and throw something little on the Yanks. I do think the line where it stands now is about right, and I doubt it will move much.

    giambi sucks

this lineup is WORSE than tampas
their pen is WORSE than tampas
their record is worse than tamps
    they are on the road

No you come on. YOU COME ON! Wang is still a significantly better guy to have going than Jackson. Also situationally I think Wang is in a better position to have a good start than Jackson. If the game goes to the bullpens and the Yanks have a multi-run lead, if it's 4-1 or 5-2 or something, obviously the Yanks are likely to pull it out.

I agree that if the line moves in the Yanks' direction a bit, a little on TB is probably a good idea, but I'd be surprised if that happened.

starting pitcher, unless its someone like johan, hammels, webb, peavy, is overrated

the yanks offense is not as good, nor is their defense, pen, or record

you are betting solely on one thing: the starting pitcher

if you think laying -140 on the road is smart, you wont have money for long.

i am not saying yanks lose, but i bet you tb takes more games vs nyy at home than nyy wins at tb

ill take tb at home plus money every day vs nyy with no jorge or arod

Cant say the Rays have a better pen. if one team is more likely to hold the lead after 7, its the yanks. the quality of the relievers will be directly determined by what the starters do.

i agree with the last part
but the yanks pen hasnt been better this year imo

    yesterday they whipped pettite

the two best hitters on tb are lefties

today they have a better pitcher than yesterday

and wang isnt that much better than pettite, i guess he goes deeper into games but he aint that much better

i will take tb at home vs wang

    wang aint shit

Both rank in the top 7 in baseball. Tbs has been slightly better, but both have been excellent. this will come down to who's lineup matches up better with the starters.

    Yanks roster vs jackson

    Rays lineup vs Wang

Wang is MUCH better than Pettite, I wasn't expecting a particularly good start from him yesterday and in fact did bet a small amount on TB.

As for the Yanks bullpen, what are you talking about?

If Wang has a 7 IP 2 ER type of start, what 8/9 inning guys in the majors would you rather have than Joba/Rivera?? Sure Rivera is bound to decline at some point, but this year, he's 10 for 10 in save opps, and hasn't yet even given up a walk, let alone a run.

Jackson owns the Yanks. Plus, he doesn't have to face A-Rod (a.k.a. the Rays Killer). This should be an easy win with incredible value.
