As I'm sitting here looking over the posts,Manfred Mann's Blinded by the light is playing on the radio.I know,it's considered an oldie now where many posters are young enough not to remember the song name right off hand.Everyone knows it if they hear it though.

The reason you all know it is because if you are on the same wave length as me,,,you swear he keeps saying Blinded by the light,wake up like a douche in the roaring night or light.
Anyone here know what the hell he actually says and means in that song?Does everyone here think he's saying wake up like a douche or am I the only one????A burning question I have had for years is what the guy actually is saying?

The original Springsteen version says "cut loose like a deuce" but Manfred Mann changed the lyrics to "wrapped up like a douche." Springsteen has a humorous take on Manfred Mann's lyrics on his VH1 Storytellers appearance.
