i hear these announcers blah blah on he has only 2 quality starts what are the indicators to decide this comment ................ is it atleast 6 inn and no more than 3 ER per outting because that sounds like a good barrameter to me ? your thoughts ...............

I realize that is all that matter but walks will kill you. But then again with ERA of 3 walks wern't hit in.

But the original poster is asking about the official Quality Start stat, and not anyone's opinion of what a QS should be. For statistical purposes, a QS is siimply at least 6 IP with no more than 3 ER, and nothing else.
