Default How many books do you feel is enough for getting the best value??

Being a High volume bettor. I'd much rather deposit my dinero into reduced juice outs. Bonuses are nice but their not for everybody i guess.

Currently funded for American Sports (NFL,CFB,MLB,CBB,NBA)

1. Pinnacle
2. Hollywood
3. IIS (Have been here for over 3 years. Sharp outfit IMO. Somewhat surprised they dont get much mention when talking reduced outfits.
4. Canbet

Have used over 50 books in my day, Jamaica, Bowman, WWTS, Oly, CRIS, VIP Group, Guardian, etc., etc, but 85% if not more have the same exact line anyhow.

Currently funded for Soccer
1. Pinnacle (only real value lies in their reduced margin l;ines for the 4 major soccer leagues, other than that you can definitely get better lines elsewhere.
2. Fonbet
3. 10bet

Currently funded for Tennis
1. Pinnacle (always excellent odds for DOG and FAV)(No doubles/trebles though which sucks)
2. 5 dimes
3. Centrebet
4. Betandwin

Currently funded for Golf
1. Pinnacle (excellent matchup odds, thats about it.)
2. Betfred (My favorite out for Golf outrights and Each Way odds 1 thru 5)
3. Canbet (Top 5 odds real nice)
4. 5 dimes (Futures and Top 5 odds are real nice)

I was right on I guess 10 currently funded outs.

One book Ive never played at but have seen nothing but good things about thru reading Mudcat's threads I believe is INTERTOPS. I know they have new management and such and that 20% cash bonus could be enticing.

Would love to here some others chime in on how many books they keep funded or getting the best value. And what books they are and why.

Regards,
Antonio

True most have the same lines nowadays unless your betting off sports like Tennis, Soccer, ect

For American Sports all you need is 5

Pinnnacle-Low juice
Carib
Bowmans
Greek
Cris

Line shopping now is vastly overrated and time consuming and like you said all the lines are basically the smae most of the time.

I use 3 books:

Pinnacle
Sportsinteraction
Canbet

I am not very impressed with Canbet so far I'll give them another month or so to see if I can find more games but most of my plays were with SIA and Pinnacle.

I mean, Canbet doesn't even have their NCAAF lines up yet...but they are reduced juice and every now and then if i can find an opinonated line it might be worth it to hang on to them.

If you're a high roller you should try some Aussie Books eg Sportingbet OZ, All Sports, SportsBet, Multibet, Sports Acumen. Most of them have great limits.

Scorpion

Been at BetFred for about 6 months now. Love them for Golf outrights and EW. My payout via Neteller took about 25 minutes. No fee either.

The aussie books do not take Americans

You only need 5 books to get a great line

The more the better IMO. But it depends on your volume and style of play. There is no on-size-fits-all answer. I would say 3 outs is an absolute MINIMUM if you have dreams at all of winning. For some, having 20-30 outs is the way to go.

Just look at line screens as 90% of the lines are the same at books

If you have more than 5 accounts your wasting your time

Well I think there is enough variatioin JJ to warrant having multiple books...i guess anything more than 5 would be approaching professional status and plus it is just too hard to organize.

However, most books may offer the same number but different juice and for long term bettors there is value in that alone.

In my opinion, 4 to 6 books is a good number for the every day shopper. Like D2 said, the more options the better chance at getting the best line. Having one of these doesn't hurt either ...

JJ,

I couldn't do with less than 2 screens for basic web browsing and MS office. Most video cards support two monitors so for the price of $100 you can add a 2nd LCD. :an_cheers

Give it a year and Dell will be shipping systems that way.

I agree with Atoonio. My books change depending on what time of year it is. I really dont know how someone can handle 30 funded accounts unless you had help. I keep about 7 books all year and than swap out another four on and off. Thats all i can handle.

There are some books I use no mater if I am betting in them or them or not!

Many factors involved here. I rotate by season. I think going beyond 8-10 is futile. It depends if you can access places like Betfair , or not and how much you want to bet.

If you bet very large ( over 10 dimes), you don't need places with $220 limits on totals. At that level you need Pinnacle and maybe 2-3 others.

The nickel type bettor can have more options.

Being baseball/ CFB/ NFL seasons currently... here's a mix of books I like:

Pinny: always there
Mansion Exchange: takes USA action
Hollywood
Skybook

above are staples

I add SIA during NFL

I'm a long time client of Casablanca ( now Wagerweb), I get special treatment, I can't recommend them to new guys because of excessive withdrawal fees, but they always pay promptly. They work for me !

Others I go in and out of and approve of include:

Bowmans
Grande
ABC/ Jazz
Cris
Oly/ Jamaica
Canbet

I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

Doug

many claim for baseball sides you only need Pinnacle. I would say for other sports is Pinnacle and them try and pick 4 others that have diverse lines and are safe. Throw in a book that inflates favorites also

Three is good (and gives peace of mind), unless you're in the bonus collecting business.
