It should also be noted that CC Sabathia sucks. I think everyone already knows that....But...It's worth repeating.

C.C is about equal pitcher to Halladay IMHO and the Tribe has been underachieving quite bad with their bats. That's potentially top 3 lineup in the AL. Jays on the other hand has quite weak hitting. They have very good bullpen and rotation, but not impressed by those bats at all. Couple of old power hitters and overall a very mediocre lineup.

I like Indians on -1.5 runline @ around +185 in this one.

Not now he isnt. hmm...I guess I should have rephrased that. He is a good pitcher that is not pitching to his full potential at the moment....there it is. That's the tone I was going for.

C.C. is equal to Halladay? O.K. there bud. Jays may not win but there is plenty of value with them tonight. If I had to take a side it'd be the Jays.

On the under 8 but good luck. Tough for me to back the jays. They simply can't hit as of late.

I guess it comes down how you rate the pitchers. W-L record or past few games means very little to me. Overall Sabathia has pitched about as good as Halladay the past 2 seasons. It's not first time he has started the season a bit sloppy. Halladay might be just slightly better, but no significant enough to make difference really.

Tribes lineup is just couple of notches stronger and they are at home. I personally wouldn't play Jays at current odds. Would need at least about +130 to consider them.

    STOP THE PRESSES!

I agree with 69882000 on this one, which is the first time I've ever agreed with a play he started a thread on.

    FYI.

I know that 6988 knows my post was good-natured, but I just wanted to clarify to everyone else that I was not taking a shot at the guy. We've had a few chuckles during our disagreements recently.

6988 I told you no new threads until you go on a streak. One win does not qualify as a streak.

Because Halladay is better and the Toronto bullpen is far superior. Besides, CC is still not pitching like CC.

and everbody, save the indians offense sucks this year. hafner, victor, sizemore, jonny, et all will get going soon

toronto is not a better offense

CC has actually been pitching well his last 3 starts. I think he has a 2.21 ERA over those 3 games. That is what scares me about this one, since I am on the Blue Jays tonight.

    HUH?

Halladay is one of top 5 pitchers in baseball. In an era of the specialized relievers, he has three Complete Games this year. Most importantly, he simply has a longer proven track record than CC does.

But he regressed badly in his last start vs. Kansas City after a couple of great outings.

i am aware of halladays numbers and cg's.
but if i have to pick a pitcher for the rest of the season, i will take cc
unless his arm is tired, he is better to me. and a lefty. i think halladay is a top pitcher,

    johan santana
    webb
    peavy
    to me, haren
    cc
    halladay
    hammels
    zambrano
    beckett

    in no order

Bad managing by the Jays just gave the game to the Tribe.

They should of pulled Halladay out after the first hit of the 7th inning.

I agree Onlooker...you could tell in the 6th that he was about out of gas as it was. Just kept him in too long instead of bringing in the pen to preserve the lead.
