I have about $2800 in my account at Skybook. I liked the half point NFL and Friday half point in the NBA. I won at least a few bets over the course of the NFL and NBA season. So, I was happy until I tried to make a withdrawal.

The most I can withdraw is $1000 at a time at a cost of $61 per **********. So, if I want to withdraw all of the $2800 it will cost me $183! So there goes my profit plus some!

Of course, I can leave my money in until it grows to $5000. Then I can have it bankwired into my checking account for only $100.

Am I being unreasonable or are these fees bullshit?

Any other books I should be aware of with excessive withdrawal fees?

First off, Congrats on your winnings sir.

Actually $61 per dime for a ** withdraw is all that bad IMHOO sir, however I can total sympathize with your grievance. BetMania has the same type of policy in place, although they sometimes are slow paying.

A couple of other books that you want to avoid if you don't like excessive fees are BookMaker and Jazz. While both of these books are top tier and all, the fees seem a bit pricey for recreational type players.

In Skybooks defense, I will say that they do have an excellent bonus option for new bettors. It should more than offset the cost of the WD fees.

That is true and all, however you have to look at the cost of doing business factor as well. I mean it's not easy for books to process mass payouts to U.S. players, and thats something that most people need to take into consideration.

Hmm... What's the Book to Book transfer cost? If ya really don't like their fees, maybe transfer to the Greek, roll it over once and then request a withdrawal. Just a thought, especially if you are trying to move the entire balance.

The B2B transfer to TheGreek would be the best route to go of course, and it was my first though as well sir. However, I just "assumed" this gentlemen didn't want to go through the one time rollover process at all.

I was also gonna suggest the greek option. My main annoyance with Skybook (outside of the terrible software) is that they refuse to add Moneybookers. Customers having a hard time in the current environment and them not wanting to make any concessions. IN FACT, if they added MB to their arsenal of banking options--they would actually be making more money. Of course, i know they wouldn't want to do that.

You could always try and arb the money out. If skybook wins you get to 5K quicker and if skybook loses you get the money to another book which hopefully is cheaper.

The wire option is I think up to a $10k withdrawal for a $100 fee. That's the only reasonably priced option, which makes Skybook a difficult choice for smaller bettors. I'm not comfortable leaving such a large balance in Skybook so I've stopped using them for the time being.

In the past year, I've done four payouts by wire in the 4-5k range each time. I believe they only do wires on Tues, so if you request one on a Weds, you'll wait 6 days max. I don't like paying the $100 fee (plus $15 incoming wire fee from my bank), but I have no worries about their ability to pay. Their free 1/2 point has turned losers into ties and ties into winners for me, so I figure this pays for my withdrawals.

Yeah, I got hit with an incoming fee from my bank as well in the ballpark of $15. Their usefulness for me went down a lot when they switched the basketball half point from every day until Fridays only, as I mostly bet college basketball which usually has very few games on Friday.
