Default Is Hillary Now Angling for the VP Slot?

The results, as of this post, are still not in completely from Indiana, with the lady at 52%. But the unreported precincts are supposed to be good ones for Obama.

If she loses there, or wins by a hair, and her appeal to the Democratic Nat'l Committee to re-instate the Florida and Michigan results falls flat (as it likely will) - is she going to try to make a deal with Obama: give me the VP slot and I'll drop out?

He'd be crazy to name her as his rumming mate - some people worried about the economy and sick of the war are still going to have to swallow hard to vote for a black. Pairing him with a woman, esp one with such high negs as Hill, would be dumb as hell.

But, she can then carry her losing show right to the convention. So he may cave and pick her.

And then either try to sabotage his campaign from the inside, so that in 2012 she'll be the last Democrat standing.

Or, make some mojo work to escort the black guy out of this world, and ascend to the presidency.

As JJ, a big Clinton admirer has said, they'll do anything to gain power. Does anything mean murder most foul . . .? JJ?

Isn't Obama basically a lock now?

Virtually. Late May the Demo bigwigs meet to determine if they'll reinstate at least the Fla votes, where both candidates were on the ballot. I'd lay the odds on them doing that as something like +600. (But even it they did it won't be enough for her)

Even if she wins West Virginia next week, and she probably will, the numbers are against her. Wonder if she really does want the Veep spot? She can make trouble for Obama if she does - and he doesn't.

And he won't. He'll want her working her consituency - redneck whites, women and seniors - but won't want her as his running mate. For multiple good reasons

Hillary needed to win both states to have any chance. She's toast. Its all formalities now.

Yeah, that's what I was told. Figured she'd drop out for the party's best interests.

She's so stubborn, she'll probably stay in this thing to the end and f\*\*k her party in the process out of spite.

Well, a couple months ago she virtually offered him the vice president's slot. But he was non-commital about offering her the same deal.

John Edwards would be ideal for him. Southern white, and his cancer-striken wife could connect with women.

Any VP will work for Barack. You think Old Man McGee is going to win?

McCain should hang himself for his party's best interests.

I think McCain wins and I think he'll pick Rommey for VP, especially since Rommey had the edge when it came to economics against him. He could grab all conservatives with that selection.

He's not letting anything out until the Demo's decide who's running. But Rommey's name is out there on the top, along with Gov. of Florida, and Rice.

I'd like to see Rice for VP and Hillary for VP on the other end. Hopefully the media will kill themselves out of exhaustion if that's the case.

Obama will not pick hilary. Hiilary takes money from lobbyist and special interest groups. Thats exactly what he stands again doing. The most sensible person for VP is Edwards. But who knows you might see Kerry pop up or someone else.

You don't campaign on making change, and then select Clinton to be your VP.

Right, plus you'd have to deal with all that pesky sniper fire.
