Default How do I go about having an Alligator removed from my pond?

Its only about 4 foot long but Id rather not have it around. I dont want to harm it, Id like to have it moved to another area. Who am I supposed to call to get something like that done?

Well these creatures are one of natures best my man getting it out now is definitley a wise decision as they can live for over 100 years at 4 feet he should not be too hard to remove the question is what happens next i lived In Niagara Falls NY Near5 Houston TX and In the DC area in my life and I can tell you from my time in TX clute/ lake jackson alligator is delicious so capture it if possible and then cook it if you don't mind killing it that is

They are fierce but not very smart honestly are you unwilling to handle it yourself? If so I am sure many people would do it for free if you let them keep the carcass as I stated the meat is actually very delicious if you get used to it i wish i was still in the south and alligator meat is just one of the reasons

Kinda strange for a gator to be that far north. We deal with them all the time here in FL, so if its 4 feet this spring, next spring it will be 6 feet. Call your zoo in Little Rock, my guess is they will come get it.

    later

There hast to be a pest control company that can take care of it. Just need to make some calls and get pricing.

You can do it yourself. Always aproach from the rear or side, bait them with raw chicken on the shore. Give it some time to get used to you feeding it. Then have someone with tape near you and grab from behind and squeeze the mouth. Tape it and legs then release elsewhere. Remember they are fast if they are coming at you but cannot turn or reverse direction very fast.
