Well, my life growing up was probably different than most. My mom died when I was 11 so I spent all my time with my dad. My dad liked to go to pool halls and he would take me with him. I grew up playing pool and used to watch him play for money all the time. As I got older I started playing for money and it kind of grew from there. I would play anything for money, pool, dice, whatever.

When I was in the service in the 80's I lived in CA and would often go to Vegas. My wife likes to gamble also so it makes it more enjoyable when I want to go to Lousiana or Vegas.

I just do it for fun. Not looking to make any serious amounts of cash. Am only in college, so when I go on a losing streak and have no money to risk, I just won't bet. So the answer for me would be No.

Not at all. I enjoyed solving puzzles since I was a kid.

And, as an elitist, I really like being in that favored 2% at season's end, if I have more money in my pocket than when I started. Doesn't happen every season (foots and college hoops) but enough.

I regret it. Winning $XXXX is never enough. You are always going for more and never happy. Personal life suffers and so on

tough question... and in fact I am starting to lose a little bit of interest in it to tell you the truth.... Not because of losing but because its so hard to win consistently and it takes so much time. I would rather be chasing some broads all day long than worrying about if I won my bets or not. I dont know, I will always gamble at least every once in a while but im considering slowing down and concentrating on other things in my life

Absolutely not, but I do miss the mansion I used to live in sometimes, this homeless shelter just doesn't have the same appeal, but I'll get it all back with one of Pat's 15-teamers pretty soon.

    NO!

I've done thousands of things in my life that I regret. Amazingly, gambling is not one of them. I never even thought about it until I opened this thread. If anything, it's caused me to waste a lot of time. But, I've wasted more time on more meaningless things. Now, if i could have all of the time back that I wasted on video games, that would be something!
We did this 3 months ago.
If you could go back in time to the day you were introduced to gambling..............

Stupid people probably shouldn't be gambling.

Smart people probably should be doing something more constructive with their time.

No, I'd be stuck behind a desk right now in a shitty office, instead of sitting on my balcony watching a sweet lightning storm and relaxing.

I have my ups and downs. I actually get a lot out of it. I would rather be betting on a daily basis then doing hardcore drugs. I am in a good place in my life financially and I never worry about the financial aspect of it. I like to wager and the day I don't like it anymore I will stop. I highly doubt that day will ever come though.

i enjoy it but sometimes i feel burnt out. also you can never win enough. say last month you made 3k, this month you wanna try to get 5k but you only get 2k so you get all stressed out over it.

Have no regrets live your life to the fullest, is it healthy? probably not.... does it make you happy more than mad probably not...... Would you want your kids to pick it up.... probably not all that said let the dice roll and bury me with a bottle of jack daniels a pack of newports or marlboro smooths and a live bet in my hand
