Question I find myself rooting for the Tampa Bay Rays

I was born a Yankees fan, going to see them play tomorrow. A baseball fan in general.......I like rooting for the cellar dogs, T-Bay. The question is.....at season end will they still be hanging around. I think they might, that staff is starting to come together. What do you guys think? It gets boring always having the Yanks and Sox on top of the A.L East.......and this is coming from a Yanks fan.

they'll be especially tough once kazmir comes back. Price in a year or two coming around as well.

I could see them having 75-80 wins, but I don't think they are a playoff contender at this point. I don't know if the bullpen is going to hold up all year, and their starters are good but not proven. Their lineup is decent, but they lack a true anchor.

I was thinking the same thing. They definitely have a rotation now. I would like to see them cause trouble just to make it interesting for once. Young team, young guys have heart, they can get real hungry....

as far as pure talent, they're as good as anyone and they stand to improve more than anyone. if there was no FA and players had to stick with their teams, we'd be in for about 7 years of TB/AZ in the WS. I'd rather see that than the yanks and mets.

The Rays just have the misfortune of being in the wrong division. They do have a legitimate chance to finish third this season, but fourth is more likely. But hey, that's still better than last, and with the best farm system in baseball, they only have one direction to go in the future, provided they could hold on to their players.

I like their pitching staff with Kazmir, Shields, and Jackson.

    Boys.....they broomed out the Angels.

    For real or not?

Besides the Sox, the rest of the division looks weak. Especially the Yank's. These kids are hungry. Crawford is sick of getting beaten up.

Now they broomed out the Sox.

Alright.....we are almost at the half way mark.

Where do you see these guys finishing the season?

They might just have the mojo this year.....2nd in the AL is definitely a possibility.
