Ladies and Gentlemen, as more details are finalized they will be posted here in the Player's Talk Forum. We recommend that interested posters check here frequently so as not to be left out in the cold. The following has already been determined:


Sign up Form:
We have a secure registration form here. We advise all interested posters to register as soon as possible as that will aid in our planning and also ensure that they will be able to participate in all events. Some of the events will only be available in a limited capacity and SBR has chosen to make them available on a first-registered, first-served basis. We will require posters to provide a certain amount of personal information in order to reserve rooms and so forth, but utmost precaution will be taken to safeguard all information in our care. Players who do not wish to provide any details about themselves are welcome to join us but are not eligible for

Where?
SBR will provide rooms at the Golden Nugget for the nights of 22 and 23 August 2008 to any SBR Forum posters who have achieved a minimum of 100 posts and have properly registered.

Is it free?
SBR will cover the cost of the room and all taxes, however posters will need to leave a credit card deposit when they check-in to cover incidental expenses, room service, pay-per-view movies, meals charged to rooms, etc.

Travel?
It is further our intention to reimburse at least a portion of the travel expenses for our most loyal posters. The first 100 posters who properly register and have achieved 1000 posts or more will be reimbursed up to $300 each for those expenses at the Bash.

Itinerary:

8/22 Friday
Time TBA SBR Justin hold a card counting seminar teaching fundamental strategy in beating the blackjack table.

8/22 Friday
7:00 PM SBR will host an ice-breaker/reception open to all SBR posters and guests (1 guest per poster, please). This event will feature adult libations, prizes, and entertainment and will afford us all an opportunity to put faces with our favorite forum posters.

8/23 Saturday 8:00 AM
SBR will host a free golf tournament open to all SBR posters with a minimum of 100 posts. SBR will provide green fees and carts to all interested posters who have properly registered. More details will be forthcoming as they are finalized.

3:00 PM SBR will hold a free poker tournament. While this event is open to all SBR posters with a minimum of 100 posts, only the first 140 to register will be guaranteed a seat. More details will be furnished as we get them, but tentatively the total prize will be $5000 cash. All player who reach the final table will finish with a cash prize.

8:00 PM Our banquet will be held featuring prizes, a nationally-known comedian(enne), adult beverages and much more. This event will be open to all SBR posters who have achieved a minimum of 100 posts and a guest (1 per poster, please).

So am i reading this correctly that the original idea of ALL posters who had reached 1000 posts would be reimbursed a portion of their travel fees, is now being reduced to only the first 100 who register?

CK, we will reimburse the first 100 posters who register with 1000 posts up to $300 for their travel expenses.

This is going to be a blast, or err a bash!

If a 100 guys are going to get the air comp I would hope there is a way to give the long time guys first crack. They are a big reason SBR has been such a success. They deserve first crack.

I'm a 23 handicap golfer(ok, a 16). Anyone who spends the day with me on the course I will promise to tell you some JJ Gold and Bill stories that I previously swore silence on.

Compaq, your method of travel is your own choice. we will reimburse up to $300 for airfare, train, bus, or fuel for those posters who qualify. unfortunately, hotel policies require a credit card deposit so we have no room for manuever on that front.
