Default Oakland A's - Worst Lineup in MLB

    2nd year in a row.
    Is this a joke?

    Leadoff - Kurt f-ckn Suzuki.
    Mark Ellis
    Daric Barton
    Frank Thomas
    Emil Brown
    Jack Cust
    Bobby Crosby
    Jack Hannahan
    Ryan Sweeney

    ------------------------

Pitchers are not scared of one single hitter in that lineup. The fact that they picked up Frank Thomas off waivers and put him straight into the cleanup spot speaks volumes about the shitbags on this team.

    How are they 17-11?

The 4-0 lead they jumped out to also says a lot about Nick Adenhart --- Not going to be a good MLB pitcher - at least not yet. (19/15 K/BB ratio in 31 innings in AAA is pathetic, too)

any of those AL teams could be shut out on any given day. The NL has too many teams to list.

Seattle is a middle of the pack offense. Agree with you on the rest. Baltimore is bad.
The NL has Washington, Pitt, San Diego, SF, and even COL so far.

I'd take Col's lineup over Seattles any day of the week. The mariners just called up two players that cant play defense to spark their O. Seattle is 9th in the AL in just about every category, Clev is sure to pass them by years end.

Wood entered the year as the Angels top prospect according to baseball america.

Nick had TJ surgery in 2004 i believe, its not an easy road back for a youngster. He wont be 22 until august, he should be fine. He's not a future number one, but hes a future MLB starter.

Nick Adenhart is a future #4-5 starter.

4-0 .78 ERA in AAA so far this year.

    Look closer: 31 IP, 19K, 15BB.

I bet Oakland tonight just because Adenhart has no control.

not many 21 year old kids have much success over AA, much less in the bigs.

Oakland has the reputation as the most sabermetric-minded team in MLB. Some of their success as a smaller market team with a lack of big-name players can probably be attributed to proper use of sabermetric principles.
