Crazy shit went down, I'm sure you know. Kids even leaving their million dollar appartments uptown, to become squatters because it was the cool thing. I miss those days.

I haven't seen that mofo in a few years now, last time I think was when he drove me to Madball's last show (3rd or 4th time they quit) at CB's. Also, ate at the Roselle Diner with Dan Murray, Ian, and the many interchangeable parts of One4One numerous times. These were all of my friends from the younger angrier years of Mr. ChuteBoxe.

My brother-in-law still goes to shows all the time. He's the founder of IDS, which if you know, includes EGH, Sworn Enemy, 36DF, etc...

Reagan Youth was absolutely not the same without Dave. You didn't really realize it when he was alive, but after his death, it became clear that he was the heart and soul of the band. Too bad you don't have PM's. I'm almost positive we either know each other, or if not, definitely know the same people. I'm not about to throw out my name on the msg board, but if you were still around in 1995-1998, I sang vocals for Lost Blood, and then Everyone Bleeds Red.

I am friends with Dan4one (Murray). He is good friend with a guy that used to do cd layouts for me. I ran a label ( sadistic records) from 1997 -2005. Had 23 releases including compilations with one4one and a lot of the nj and ny hardcore bands. A ton of Long Island bands. Shoot me a pm I have about 2000 new cds in my garage. I listen to "Homefront" by egh on a daily basis. Never gets old. I used to frequent Coney Island , Castle Heights, Deja 1 used to see a lot of candiria in Long Island as well. Nothing like njhc and nyhc. Good to see someone knows whats up on sbr.

I'm a youngin. I'm about to turn 26. I actually got into hardcore at 9 years old when I was dragged to a show by my friend's cousin, who was in Altercation at the time. Went every weekend since then, up until I was about 21. So if you remember a skinny little 9-10 year old kid, with a yankee hat, going off, that was me, lol.

I did have a Black Flag t, but I think I know who you're talking about also. My memory is half f*ckin shot, I missed that whole sXe concept completely, but he was someone's little brother, sorta how Freddy from Madball got into hardcore because his older brother was Roger from Agnostic Front. Hopefully it will come to me. At one point I had blonde spikes, sorta like liberty spikes, but shorter. Then, I shaved my head, and it's been like that ever since. Remembering back, some of my shirts at the time consisted of pretty much anything my friends gave me for free. I was poor back then. Agnostic Front, One4One, Madball, NJBL, Skarhead, Altercation, Blind Society, The Casualties, etc...

It was about keeping your honor and fighting drugs and trying to give something back to the community.

Some people just never got it , some people were only in it to be drunk and loud , or cus they wanted to fight.

I can give you some good bands to listen to and they will open your mind up a bit , about how this scene started
