yeah, but i bet you everyone would have hated him today had that final 3 pt shot of the game would have gone in, or for some people, even a easy lay up would have cost them the game...

did you know that kobe had a chance to ice it at the free throw line and missed both.. that almost cost the game for LAL bettors.. he sucked at the line last night, big time.. but he still is the best player in the NBA..

i'm surprised no one talked about Kobe almost costing the game at the end by missing both free throws..

    maddy,

he missed both free throws with 7 secs to go. all DENNY had to do was go in for the easy lay up and LAL bettors lose... but they shot the long 3 and had that gone in, all LAL bettors would have lost and KOBE would have cost them the bet for missing both FT's..

alot of people had LAL -4 pick.. i had LAL -4.5 +110.. so i would have lost had they walked in for the layup..

Coulda woulda shoulda.... if my aunt had a sack she'd be my uncle!

Kobe was the reason they won and covered that game. Lakers had no business covering that game. Denver should've won or at least covered had it not been for Kobe's clutch shots, steals and blocks in the final minutes.

Every damn game has final moments where a play here and there could've changed the outcome of the spread winner.

Yeah, he missed a few FTs, so what? He stole the ball and blocked the final shot to seal the win & cover. So stop whining.

i am not whining.. i even said kobe is the best player. all i am saying is that had the LAL let denny walk in for the easy lay in, i bet you would have seen 3 threads last night say.. " f-ck you kobe" or " i hate you kobe" for missing both FT's to cost them their bet..

there would have been a lot of angry posters at kobe today, because all he had to do was get 1 FT, and he missed both. PLUS, he missed about 10 FT's yesterday..

Wow, talk about being ungrateful. The guy single-handedly gave the Laker backers a gift win and they are whining about what coulda happened not what actually happened.

Kobe coulda let them take the final "meaningless shot" but didn't. He continued playing defense until the final whistle.

Again, stop whining about what coulda shoulda woulda happened and enjoy what actually happened.

Kobe led Kwame Brown to the playoffs, something not even Jordan could do.

And Kobe had the series sealed vs. Suns in 2006 when he swished back to back to back clutch shots in the final seconds of game 6 only to lose because Odom is a friggin idiot.

who has more help surrounding him

    Kobe or Duncan??

Duncan has an elite point guard
6th man of the year and alot of people say Gnobli is a top 10 player in the league

lots of veteren players that make big shots

    better coach

    best defense in the league

Every great player needs a great sidekick.

Look at Jordan without Pippen.... never could get out of the 1st rd and missed the playoffs entirely couple of seasons.

Kobe without Shaq has accomplished far more than Jordan without Pippen.

Lakers have the perfect roster for the tri offense. The Spurs probably match up the best but LA is the favorite the rest of the way.

If LAL meet SA for the conference final..

the line for the series will be..

    LAL -200
    SA +185

that real line should be LA -155/+145... but the real reason it will be -200 is because books know that everyone and their uncle will bet LAL.. so make sure you grab the +185, because that's value..

  23. #23

No way SA will open at +185.

    More like +125.

    Winning the division?
Making it out of the 1st rd?
Winning 54% of his games compared to 43% for Jordan?
Most likely the MVP? (Jordan never won an MVP w/o Pippen)
Most likely a championship? (Jordan never won a title w/o Pippen)

He has less championships w/o Shaq then Shaq w/o Kobe

They beat the Nuggets , worst D in the NBA

He has a long way to go yet.

I wasn't comparing Kobe vs. Shaq. Shaq had a little help from a future hall of famer named Wade, who was the finals MVP btw. You won't find a hall of famer on Kobe's squad.

Long ways to go? He's already surpassed Jordan minus Pippen.

jjgold is right again, and i have the stats to prove it, so don't say i am kissing his ass, just let the stats do the talking..

lakers are 61-25 this year, including playoffs.

with Paul Gasol in the lineup, lakers are 26-5, including playoffs.

    so basically,

    lakers without gasol, 35-20 (.636)
    lakers with gasol 26-5 (.839)

    good call, jj.
