So Pat Riley is away from coaching and then sees that the Miami Heat are a prime contender to win it all so he throws Van Gundy under the bus. Now fast forward a couple of years and the Heat are trash. Riley decides to skip games to go and "scout" and leaves a team that is full of d-leaguers to throw the season err......I mean play it out.Now he's giving up his coaching duties and leaving someone else with the mess.Great work Pat
I guess he doesn't want the poor heat records to be reflect on his career won/loss totals.
