Default Detroit Pistons -5.5 tomorrow at Philadelphia

Looks good, if they even have pulses they should feel utterly embarassed for that ridiculous "game" they played. They should at least win by a couple baskets.

Tomorrow I think pistons will play pistons basketball. And the good form of it.

    Any though?

    Sixers are a good team

I don't think I can pull the trigger on either side

Take Philly. Quite frankly, DET just isn't that good. Line is already severely inflated at -5.5. Should be closer to DET -1.5/-2 certainly not -5.5. Based on what in this series leads you to beleive DET should be favored by 5.5 on the road to a team they've lost 2 out of the last 3 times?

This is exactly the same situation of last year's GS/DAL series. I bit, and bit badly, on Dallas -3.5 (?) in game 4 thinking they would get it done after getting destroyed in game 3 and going down 2-1. And same thing that during the regular season GS had DAL's number. Right now, Phil has Det's number.

Probably Phily wins here, loses in DET, and wraps it up in game 6.

Yea hard to call. Wont let the line decide it for me though, its been a deceiving factor lately. Like Nuggets, celtics, and jazz being brought up more points to win by and none covered. So might follow that pattern to the pistons favor.

The thing is, yea detroits played like SHIT lately, but there still way better a team than philly is in their recent sparks. In the long run its Philly all day cause of their youth, but all around Detroit is a better team. Just havn't shown it which is a POOR quality, but the way it is.

    Lets not go overboard Buddybear

Pistons won the 2nd most games in the league

have been an elite team for a long time now

right now they just are not playing well

proabably because going through so many meaningless games

Yea when it comes down to it they are WAY BETTER than the 76ers. They have a deep roster, with all the experience and rings it takes to get out of the first round. I definitely say they take the series, but have been playing like crap lately. Well not even playing it seems, no effort.

But tomorrow I would think they would at least want to get back 1/4 of their reputation with a nice win like Game 1.

Detroit has no heart, they know they're a better team, and I do believe they are as it stands but they don't play like it all the time. They get too comfortable and full of themselves, even in their demeanor and interviews they have this arrogance about them. I wanted to pull the trigger on 76ers series after it was 1-0 but I let myself be a little too influenced by the overwhelming support of Detroit on the boards.. One guy at RX has them in what he claimed was a $50,000 chalk series parlay w/ Boston and Lakers series ML....

I think Detroit wins this game maybe narrowly..

    I agree with their attitude.

One would feel they are DESPERATE not to fall back 3 - 1 from Philly and actually TIE it up going back home. Making that a workable point. And maybe they FU** up that game when they get back and it goes 3 games to 2 in Philly's favor again. Who the hell knows, but 3 - 1 is a tough spot.

I hope the line goes down again and ill submit cause I am not doubting it wont go down to the wire with sloppy plays.

Well, if there was ever a time for them to prove just how good or better of a team they are than the 76ers, it's now.

Here's a perfect example of what I was just talking about..

"If we can match their intensity and their energy, I think our chances are better," Billups said.

Why does he say things like that to the media..? I don't think the young, energetic 6ers team needs any more rally around material or a motivational boost after just THRASHING you from start to finish...

Phila played great the last 20 games or so so this is no fluke, I would be shocked if the they lost this game.

I don't bet chalk, but even I think that the Detroit Moneyline at only -265 may be the NBA Bet of the Year. How quickly people forget that this was the second best team in the NBA this season (well, record-wise anyway), and you know they will be fully motivted here.

I wouldn't touch this game, even on a Detroit ML. Yes, they were the second best team in the East this year, but against the 76er's, they were 2-2. I said after game 1 that I thought the collapse to Cleveland last year was still in their head and I have seen nothing to change my mind about it.

Not to mention Philly has beat Detroit 4 out of the last 5 games they have played.

Sir Charles just said he's going with Philly tonight on the TNT pregame. Last time I tailed one of his leans I lost a unit, so f*ck him.

    Now THAT'S Detroit Pistons basketball.

Let's keep it going in the 4th and finish out, just keep taking away the transition opportunities and let us keep looking to get to the FT line. 1st half so many poor shots were settled for, protect the ball, attack the rim, and maybe that'll open up something big for Rasheed beyond the arc in the final minutes...

Still early but if the pistons hold on to win this game I think they end this in 6

Dio, I don't feel bad about forgoing that 6ers series anymore.

After this 2nd half statement I'd be floored if the Pistons came out so halfassed again... They were really on the ropes this time and knew it, no way they get beat at home now.

Good job by the Detroit backers. I dont know what that coach said at half but he needs to bottle that shit and whip it out when this team plays half ass again. I wouldn't touch any game in this series but GL to those of you that do.
