Default Offical NFL Draft Thread In progress...

Baltimore just took Flaco at 18 thats interesting.

But Jacksonville taking 3rd and a 4th and trading number 1's to get DE harvey from Flordia... Thats going to be a bust waiting to happen.

Baltimore got the best of that deal. Their QB, be it Henne or Brohm will still be around at #26.

im guessing mendenhall...i feel he is a more complete runner and would compliment barber a lot better...talk about a blessing in disguise...they get their star db from tenn, get an amazing compliment to barber in mendenhall, and have a great chance of snagging sweed/kelly with their other first round pick...wow!

Mendenhall. I'm surprised Carolina didn't take him at No. 13

So the team that drafted Flacco, now according to sportsgirl is now going to look for Henne or Brohm at 26?

Baker was a reach. Carolina is Reaching for players.... not good.

    ps

Sportsgirl to know what she's talking about..

They took Felix Jones. haha. I agree Mendenhall offers much better value. But it's Jerry Jones.

Sportsgirl posted that before Baltimore traded up to get Flacco. She could/should have at least mentioned Flacco alongside Henne/Brohm. Flacco was graded slightly ahead of those other two on most draft boards.

Steelers take Mendenhall. I'll be laughing for years as Mendenhall completely outperforms Felix Jones.

Also, Washington got a great trade from Atlanta. That sucks. I hate Washington.

thanks, Slacker. I thought the fit for Balt. as a team was Brohm, but I knew they'd go QB ... just figured they'd wait.

I was born in Pitts, diehard Steeler fan - and I don't get it either.
Guess I'm the only one who wanted to shore-up the offensive line. I don't get this pick, but given the Steelers' draft prowess in the past, I rarely question their choices. Although, it would appear to me that the Steelers will once again get the last laugh on Dallas, as I don't see passing up Mendenhall for Jones.

Mendenhall was too good to pass. He'll be a top 10 NFL RB for years after he wrests the starting job from Parker. That should take all of training camp to accomplish.

talk about a blown pick right there...titans probably couldve snagged johnson late in the 2nd...they shouldve went sweed (young's history w/ him) or thomas from msu...that was an awful pick! you cannot tell me johnson is 1st round talent...4.24 speed or not...

yeah i think the steelers just had to take the best available player...mendenhall is easily a top 15 draft player and he will def help take some carries from parker to keep him healthy and fresh going into the 4th next year
