A Question "curious" Declines To Answer
Posted a few days ago on the Iran is Vietnam thread. While Mr C jumps in fast and with both feet and both heads, he let this one slide.
Guess I just have a paranoid outlook . . .
I do enjoy the debate, but can only do it a few nights a week, before Morpheus snatches me from the light and into the darkness. And, I get away for a while from a re-reading of Decline of the West.
Did want to ask you one quesiton, curious. (Becuase I also am 'curious')
You say that you were in the First Gulf War, and were wounded.
May I be impertinent and ask: were you in that war as an American soldier?
Or perhaps as a contractor? Or as a national of another country entirely?
I ask because you did say, inter alia, that you were in an Israeli military hospital. (I assume in Israel.)
That would make sense if you were a soldier or agent of Israel.
I mean, the big US military hospital in Germany I understand to be state of the art when it comes to treating combat injuries.
So, how did you end up in a military hospital in Israel?

He's got a few more questions to answer in this thread:
http://forum.sbrforum.com/private-zo...ka-lt-dan.html
He's good at creating these tall stories but nowhere to be seen when people realise there are more holes in them than a pound of swiss cheese.
I think his response will be along the lines of this (from my recently coded Curious Post Generator):
You know what mother phucker. Now you are ridiculing my service to my country, so why don't you go phuck yourself. Why don't you go **** yourself you goddam piece of shit. You think it is funny that I am in a wheelchair? You goddam muther ****er I will come to the sbr bash and phuck you up you goddam piece of shit. I am sick of all you sbr muther ****ers talking about my disability and my service to my country. Talk like that to my face at the sbr bash you punk azz muther phucker. Makes you feel like a big man to ridicule a disabled person, does it?

curious indeed.
He claims he is absolutely not a "neo-conservative," with all that implies, ie the principal dual loyalists who lied us into the Iraq quicksand.
But he used the favorite term of the neocons, ie "islamofascist."
Neocons use this fraudulent word like a sledge hammer.,
Melding an old religion with an early 20th century European political movement is atrocious. Like calling the hard-core supporters of Israel "zionazis."
The orginal candidate of the neos was Guilani (who used the "islamo" word ten times before breakfast).
curious either a full-fledge neo, or a dupe of same.
We're all here for you, guy, as you fight you way out of the propaganda cobwebs.

I don't post here a lot, and don't read most of the off-topic (non-gambling info) threads, but I gather he's some type of contractor that worked in war zones, though not in the military himself. I certainly feel respect and sorry for anyone permanently disabled in a hostile environment, but I also have a problem with his assumption that simply working overseas makes his political views superior to others. It's like many of the grunts that think they have all the answers because they cleaned latrines in Iraq for a couple years, quickly forgetting that they have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. He seems to have a very myopic and narrow-minded view of the world, one that is typical of the average unenlightened American without a realistic worldview.
I think he's an absolute loose cannon that is very miserable in real life. He got taken to the cleaners by a crooked tout and book, and I do feel sorry for him for that, but the personal threats around here and the way he blows a gasket on a regular basis are not healthy. He is an accident waiting to happen.
He also goes on ignorant and offensive political rants that epitomize everything that is wrong with this country. His "patriotism" is the kind that his been refered to as "the last refuge of scoundrels." He's a xenophobe and a bigot, and when someone brings up a legitimate topic that doesn't agree with his Kenny Chesney-type dumbed down and naive agenda, he launches into one of his vitriolic tirades and sounds like that assclown Bill O'Reilly.
It's very pathetic, especially for someone literally twice my age. Some of the crap he says here would get him a 2 week "timeout" at other message boards I visit. He definitely needs to spend a lot less time on the internet and address some larger issues at work in his life.
All that said, I wish him the best, as I don't like to see people who live with such anger in their lives on a daily basis.

Funny. The casino floors where the Bash will be held will apparently run deep with blood, if curi is to be taken seriously.
Will he kill 4 posters here, or 5, before being taken down? My money's on the Under.
But I'm taking the better part of valor, and staying away. (Because Vegas in August is visited only by desert toads and innocent first-time Vegas tourists). But if curi wants to trek down to San Deigo we can go out on the water where the Great Whites troll, and jump in among them armed only with Buck knives (made locally).

I do agree with you. And your post made me feel guilty, as while I do debate him on a serious level now and then, it's just too easy - and cruel - to do so on any regular basis. Like baiting and laughing at the guy in your town when you were growing up who twitched too much when he walked the streets.
I think the guy has his heart in the right place. But he definitey does have to work on his head. (Meanwhile, if he does go on another rant I'm going to post tacomax's classic spoof in reply. I know, nasty, but perhaps necessary)

Altho, to tell the truth, almost all regular posters (myself definitely included) can be caricatured and panned by an expert wordsmith like the tacomaster.
(OK, taco, even it out. Do a pan of my posts. Leaving till tomorrow, but my CURIOUSity overwhelms my good sense.)

Curious is a douchebag. He probably can't tell the difference between a surface to surface cruise missile and an S-300 russian made anti-aircraft missile if you put them in a line-up. He would probably never have seen a satellite phone in his lifetime, let alone calling a missile strike with the correct coordinates from a portable GPS device and have enough time to escape undetected from a fully armored enemy brigade. The closest he has ever been to a wheelchair is when he bumped on one in an elevator and the closest he has been to a terminal disease that threatened his life is insanity.

Thanks IntheHole for pointing me to this thread. I still can't find any information though regarding curious being in the military.

good lord, where do people find these antique threads!?
Tho it was funny to again read tacomax's classic spoof of the way the old curious wrote. (I'd wondered what happened to the new curious' use of "phuck.")
curious has a lot of book knowledge, but uses it in sometimes weird ways. For instance, that FDR forced Ho Chi Minh into Communism (Ho was a member of the Comintern shortly after the Bolshevik Revolution - almost exclusively engineered by Russian Jews, by the way - was successful in Russia. Before FDR, I think, had even become governor of NY)
But I don't want to get into long circuitous debates with curious. My feeling about that prospect is: phuck it!
