So last Saturday night I was at a restaurant by myself having a meal and a few beers. It was getting late and I was on my way home, but decided to stop at a nightclub near my place in here Clearwater, FL. It was around 1am and I thought I would check it out and see if there were any strays that might need a place to sleep for the night.

Turns out this place is frequented by an older crowd. Over 30 at least, lots of people in their 40's and 50's even. Not my scene really. So I do what I always do and got a drink and a cup to spit in (I was dipping cope long). I'm walking near the bar and this shorter black guy around 40 starts talking to me. Asks me if I played baseball or whatever cause I was dipping. His name is Mel. He seems like a jovial man and we chat for 5 min about baseball and make comments about the broads as they pass by. I leave him and go wander around looking to see if there are any possibilities. There aren't.

So I'm on my way out of this bar and Mel siddles over to me and starts chatting again. I oblige for another 5 min or so. By this point, they are kicking people out of the bar and closing it down. So we leave the building and stand outside and monitor a domestic issue in progress. (Girl yelling at man for some reason.) I say "Ok, man good to meet you and see you around". He keeps wanting to talk some more; he is one of those people that is hard to get away from when it's time to say goodbye.

Then he puts out his hand to shake mine and give me one of those patented "black" hugs. Ok, I oblige. Then I'm moving away from him but he still has his hand on the back of my neck and is rubbing it. Like in a sensual sort of way! I don't feel too comfortable with this, but I don't say anything and he just stopped. He is about 6 or 7" shorter than I am. Once again, I say "Ok man, I'll see you around". Then he puts his hand out again and wants to provide me with another patented "black" hug. Ok, I oblige. But this time as the hug is happening he starts kissing the side of my neck! Again, in a sensual sort of way like he is trying to seduce me! This only lasted like 1 to 1.5 seconds and I jumped backwards. The only thing that came to my mind to say is "Hey man, I'm NOT THAT WAY!".

He just kind of looked at the ground and muttered something and walked away. He got in his Lexus and drove off.

I went straight home and stripped all my clothes off and took a shower to get any gay germs off me.

I am never going to this bar again. I am posting this because I have to get this off my chest and now it feels better. I'm not gay, and I will never be gay. I don't have a problem with people being gay, if that's what they want to do, fine.

I don't think I led this guy on. I think I look and behave straight and no gay guy has ever hit on me before.

Coming from a guy who is oblivious as to whether someone is hitting on him I do think the guy should have at least asked if you had a girlfriend or came forward and said he was gay. At least you got the message across that you weren't interested. Some people keep going at it even when you say no.
