Chicago Bears starting QB is Orton
Orton has been told its his job to lose. Rex signing is as a backup role to give competition.
Orton will be starting the season for the Bears
I don't think the bears would draft a early round QB if they are willing to kick the tires like this.
The source is brother in law's boss who use to hangout/party with Orton as they grew up.

Orton is better than Grossman. I can't believe it took them this long to figure it out. Too many fantasy stat fanatics in that front office, apparently.

orton actually plays w/ his head on when he gets out on the field...rex looks like a chicken with his head cut off every other game! id say its a good temporary move, but they def need to pursue a qb in free agency or find a gem in the draft asap!

Lovie has had great defenses, but he doesn't have anything to breath into the offense... its weak.
I honestly expect them to draft OT, OG, RB, DT, WR, in this draft.
I havent seen anything from Orton that suggests he is an NFL quarterback. Third stringer from what I've seen.
He still won more games his 1st year though that was funny.
I think they need to kick the tires and go from there. They can always bring Rex back
Orton plays smart and does just enough to win and let defense control the game...either way they need to pursue a different QB for the future whether it is the draft or free agency.
