Default How many times have you seen a particular movie?

It seems as though every time I change the channel during the last three weeks that I find "The Godfather" is on somewhere.

It was a great movie and I watch parts of it when channel surfing , but seriously, Spike TV must have played this film a dozen times every weekend for the last few weeks.

I'm officially bored of The Godfather.

I am ashamed to admit this, but I was a much younger girl at the time.

I saw Titanic 16 times at the movie theater when it came out.

I am sure that I am no longer welcome here.

The "Bread" looks appropriately sad in the avatar for posting this information, and you should be ashamed of yourself for revealing this. I hope that you enjoyed the scene when people were falling of the ship into the cold ocean the most, that's my favorite. BTW the movie takes longer than the actual sinking event of the Titanic.

Now for my own confession. When PeeWee's big adventure came out, my slutty girlfriend at the time couldn't get enough of this crappy movie so I saw it 8 times in the movie theatre. The all time movie that I have seen the most is probably a tie between:

The Jerk I still think this is Steve Martin's best movie.
Caddyshack What can be said that hasn't been already
Vacation If you look close enough Christy Brinkley always has the same clothes on ( except for the pool scene when she takes them off)

I bet that I have seen the 3 above movies atleast 75 times or more, and I never seem to get bored of them.

when the Matrix first came out, a small movie theater in Cambridge MA showed it every weekend for a year. I was there every weekend. So, I saw the Matrix 52 times that first year, altogether I have seen it over 100 times.

I lost count on how many times I seen Finding Nemo. I also think Cars is just a few views behind it. All the Pixar/Disney movies are way up there. But my son was 2 when Nemo was out, and he just wanted it on over and over and over.

It happens when you have a kid(s).

I've seen "Aliens" probably in the neighbourhood of 25 to 30 times.....Ditto for "Sound of Music", but that was collateral damage as my girls were addicted to it when they were younger....

I am really glad that he hasn't seen this thread. I know that I would be open for much ridicule.

I think that Bread has seen Warriors about a zillion times.

He made me watch it about a year ago and I almost hanged myself.

We won't laugh at Pride and Prejudice, The Hours, Ordinary People, or Fried Green Tomatoes. We will laugh big time if your talking about Moonstruck

I never seem to get tired of Star Wars.

For many years I used to visit my folks in Florida for Christmas and stay at their place for the holidays, USA network always played Star Wars episodes all day on Christmas. I'd watch all day.

I was a kid when the movie originally was released, but I still watch it whenever it airs!

I have enjoyed all the Pixar movies. They are well done and have a touch of humor in them.

I watched "The Pixar Story" on Starz last night (I think that was the name). It was pretty interesting on how they came about. From Lucas Arts to Disney. Toy Story 2 was suppose to go striaght to DVD, but Disney pushed for it to go to Theatres. Plus the head guy at Pixar redid the whole movie in a short amount of time, because he didn't like how it was done the first time. If you like the Pixar films, then this show is a must see.

I am looking forword to the new Pixar/Disney movie coming out in June, called Wall-E.

Toy Story 3 is also due out in a few years.

Dr. Strangelove is probably the one I've seen the most, maybe 60 times or so by my best guestimate. Also frequently seen are Monty Python & The Holy Grail, The Thin Man, Holiday Inn (watch that every year at Christmas with the Mrs.), It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, Long Gone, Silverado, Hoosiers, Rudy, Damn Yankees, The Sting, Kelly's Heroes, Pale Rider, Uncle Buck, Rope (my favorite Hitchcock), Paint Your Wagon and Bridge On The River Kwai just to name a few that come to mind quickly that I've seen at least 10 times.

There's one still operating here. If you come to The Bash you can all go to the drive-in and sweat off 10 pounds while you watch a crappy movie.
