Hello Friends,
I was at the laundromat picking up my laundry, thank gawd for wash and fold. Takes 4 minutes to do the laundry, 2 minutes to drop it off, 2 minutes to pick it up.

Anyway, as I was going to my car I saw a car sitting in the blind spot of a car which was backing up. The car which was in the blind spot of the other car was furiously beeping the horn. I'm guessing for a minute. The other car was backing up. The first car made no attempt to get out of the way even though they had plenty of time.

The driver of the car which was backing up was an old dude.

The driver of the other car was a gangbanger woman of a different ethnicity than the old dude.

The "accident" was a very light bump. No damage. The old dude got confused and was having a difficult time parking the car. The gang banger's friends (more gang bangers) crowded around the old dudes car and started banging on it yelling at him that he was a "hit and run" driver. I went to the driver's door of the car and told the gang bangers to back off. I also dialed 911 while they listened. The police station is right around the corner and there is a donut shop across the street so the police where there in about two minutes.

I had to warn the gang bangers that they were going to throw down with me if they did not stop harassing the old dude.

I told the police that the accident was the fault of the horn honker because she easily could have moved out of the way when she saw that it was obvious the old dude did not see her car. Since she was in his blind spot, he could not have seen her car.

The police for some reason took my statement with the gang bangers standing all around. The gang bangers started trying to harass me. Threatening to "get me". I said "crack heads, there is NO DAMAGE TO EITHER CAR" Well, I imagine that everyone on this forum knows how that turned out for them. If you have ever seen my reaction to a crack head on SBR harassing me. LOL. The police got in between me and the crack heads and I said "no officer, if they want to make a move, let them, I can handle it". The police laughed and said they didn't want the paperwork.

So, who was at fault, the old dude or the horn honker who refused to move even though she had plenty of time and was in the old dude's blind spot?

Oh, I go to this little shopping center every day and the gang bangers promised to "get me" next time I go there. I looked at one of the better looking gang banger girls leeringly and said "gawd I hope so, I would love for you to 'get me'".

I'm not worried. I'm a disabled war veteran in a wheel chair. The armed forces recruiting office is in this shopping center and I know most everyone there. I have a bigger gang than the crack heads do. LOL

Well, the gang banger woman made it an issue. That is why I mentioned it.

Yes, I have been shot. The medic dug the bullet out and then cauterized the wound with a heated knife. No anesthesia.

No, I didn't challenge them to a fight. I just told them that if they wanted to harass the old dude they had to take it up with me first. They must have thought I was crazy (they are right) because they couldn't decide whether to make their move or not.

No, not that much. The impact of the bullet numbs the pain. Then the tracer rounds screaming past your head kind of take your mind off the pain of the bullet wound. and the guys in your squad telling you to stop screaming or the enemy will know where you are. But since they shot me I kind of figured they already knew where we were. And how did they know to put these tracer rounds right next to my head if they didn't know where we were?

I did tell the guys a funny joke. I said, "hey fellars, you know all that fear about gays in the military...well I hope all you crack heads are gay because you'll be like 'GIRLFRIEND they shot our comm expert, GET THEM....bring in tanks, artillery, bombers...GET THEM'"

They laughed and laughed.

The same as if you hit somebody from behind. Doesn't matter if they slam on the brakes. You will be ticketed for following too closely. You also can't avoid a wreck and cause another one without it being your fault. Truth is, it's almost better to just get hit than avoiding the accident and then causing one.

I tried to warn the old dude, but I was on his passenger side several cars away and I couldn't get his attention.

What got me was that there was no damage, the dude was going like 2 miles per hour and the gang bangers acted like he had killed someone and was trying to "hit and run". It was ridiculous. So, I rolled my wheel chair and my sawed off shotgun over to the old dude's driver's door and said "you crack heads are pretty brave when it comes to harassing an old man, why don't you try that shit with me"?
