Default Anyone here make a living betting soccer?

    I'm curious.

I notice some very very attractive prices in all the different leagues, having to lay very little versus sizable dogs. I'm sure it's more complex than what meets the eye, but if one knows what they are doing, soccer has to be a pretty good money maker?

Soccer is good to bet in-game if you have a book that has it. Lots of liquidity so bets are easily matched.
Some people like to bet such things as over 3.5 or 4.5 goals. You get really good odds if you bet that.If a goal is scored early you can trade out your bet for a small profit. Or if you like to bet with alot of juice you can bet the under 4.5 goals which is "usually" fairly safe but if it does happen you are screwed so I wouldn't really recommend that.
Not sure what others think but I think Soccer is probably the best to bet if you trade as opposed to bet on it.

You need Euro books to start or you have no chance

Places like Betfair, Pinnacle (both not allowed for Americans) just to start so any American thinking he can win at Soccer is kidding himself.

Also you need access to some underground Asian Books that deal street lines that are tight as anything as a guide.

    Yep, it sucks for Americans

5dimes has some good lines but tiny limits

dsi/bookmaker have the worst soccer lines in the world

lots of good lines in the euro/aussie books that don't allow us players (and of course, pinnacle)

The easiest way to win in soccer is to play favorites on the road to win or play road over 2.5 goals. Because home dogs need to win to get points and not play defense at home their line ups are not defensively minded as they do on the road playing against superior teams. This leads to score fests or easier wins for the road favs because of more scoring chances playing against more open defenses. Very hot or very cold or very windy weather is also good for the under 2.5 goals when teams of equal strength face each other. Best of all kept secrets is motivation. You need to know which teams are motivated to win and which are not or which teams are resting players.
